Geeks,
I graduated from NKU in 1997. I live in Florence now but grew up in Edgewood.
Neat to see another Queen fan so close to home.

I won't be going to see it, as I know how it ends.
I hope to see the movie when I get a chance.
I guess we are just going to have to agree to disagree on the issue, Mandy!

i am not too interested in this movie
number one: since mel wasnt there when it all went down, he really cant be sure *if* his interpretation is correct or not...yet it is being sold as the definitive word
number two: granted some thumpers and suddenly religious folks will say his interpretation came straight from the bilble-- which none of us can say with any certainty is 100% accurate-- from its start in the Oral tradition to its many written forms- http://www.gospelcom.net/ibs/bibles/about/3.php
say to someone you know--the sky is blue and ask them to pass it on--by the time it gets back to you its
the sky was once blue but due to enviormental pollution and crazy republican presidents the sky suddenly became purple with pink polka dots....
i am not knocking peoples faith-- that stands on its own--movie or no movie-- at least it is suppose to be....
too many times however they really only give a damn on sundays....

I saw the film on opening night, and I have to say that it was very emotionally riveting movie. It is not your typical hollywood movie, but rather a piece of art that makes you think and re-examine the core of the Chirstian faith.
People call the movie and Gibson anti-Semetic without even seeing the picture. To me that is just ridiculous. How can you have an opinion on something you haven't seen yet. That is a clear and obvious example of how the media can manipulate and mold public opinion.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Out of curiosity of course! 'cause i don't believe that Jusus(PBUH) was ever crucified.
Guess so, Amanda :)

It's difficult to pick out what actually happened in the Bible is because of the millions of translations and verbal retellings of the stories, even re-writings that were done in the Dark Ages to spread various bits of propaganda.
Old texts like that become victim to the Chinese Whispers Syndrome.

Paul, I so agree with you.
