No wonder Bob Geldof has been informing the police on pirate copies of Live Aid being sold on e-bay, it's going to be officially released...

I'll repeat my post here in case this thread becomes the popular one :-P
Thanks Kevo :)
Interesting strategy there.. rather than find a distributor and handle getting rights from the artists himself (and then giving the proceeds to charity) he's chosen to auction the rights to release it, and then that entity will have to get the permissions. Very very interesting :)
Hope whoever wins it does it properly. Hey!!!!!! We gotta tell Brian about this.. maybe Queen could buy the rights! Then we'd never see it! LOL

Yeah could you imagine if QP got hold of it (heaven forbid!)...
They would break it down into several volumes and release it over 10 years or more and then it would be in glorious '16:9 butchered pixel vision' complete with 'DoRo cut n paste montages'....although the DTS remix will be OK.

it'll be like 10-12 dvds...with extra stuff about why it happend...and the price would be like 200 bucks...
I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not going to be able to afford this :-(
Well only one question remains why did it take so flipping long...think of all the money he could've raised by now. Hey Sir Bob what's up!
Kriz ;o(

I probably won't buy it if it is terribly expensive. Nice that it's finally getting official release, though!
At last! Great news! Hopefully it won't be too expensive!
