Fuck you, you empty, heartless bastard! I put my heart and soul into my guitar playing, and this particular piece wasn't meant to sound perfect. If you think you can do better, then by all means, record one and send it to QZ, and maybe they'll post it next. But I'm not in this for a competition. I sent it because I love to play, and that's what I could offer. If it's not good enough for your standards, then so be it. For the standard of having fun and people enjoying listening to another fan playing, I think it's just fine.

FUCK YOU, again. You cocky son of a bitch. I know very well how to mike an amp and play the guitar. My Brighton Rock solo wasn't meant to sound professional. And I don't care who you are or where you live. I think Brian would be proud that fans are recording his music to put online in a place like this. So what if my tone isn't exactly as nice as his, and that I can't sustain 20th+ fret notes as perfectly well as he can? I'm not trying to *be* Brian May. I'm being *me*, playing something Brian May once played. Being as it's a Brian May piece, I just attempted to have a similarity to his tone and style - not replicate it. I'm not a rip-off artist. But if it satisfies your ego to continue to cut another musician to shreds, then so be it. I therefore wish you all the musical hardship and heartache the professional world has to offer.
And what was the point of saying that you write original licks, something of which millions of musicians do? I've written tonnes myself, but you don't see me bragging about them.
As for the intelligence issue you mentioned, permit me one moment to take from your books and be at least somewhat cocky here: I'm obviously more intelligent than you, because I'm intelligent enough not to cut other musicians to shreds when they're not at the same level as myself. I realize there are people who are far beyond my level of musical intellect and talent, and fully accept that. And if you're one of them, then that's fine! But if criticizing others by means of insults is how you talk to them, then you don't stand a chance in the real world. You may be in a *real* band and play in *real* studios, but I'm a real person with a real heart, and I don't have time to deal with conceited, judgemental, and self-centered fucks like yourself.
And I see the irony in the fact that in typing this post, I spent 5 minutes doing it (that I'd really like to have back).
Just leave me the hell alone on this board. I come here to have intelligent discussions (or the occasional useless few words), not justify myself to conceited pricks like you.

Our Canadian friend is so off-base it's astounding. His argument as to why noone should be offended is offensive in itself and the logic behind it is non-existent. Now let me be clear, I could care less what anyone says about anything. Much like Fatty, I have skin twice as thick as an elephant's backside. However, the idea that noone should be offended just because they disagree is either A) extremely ignorant or B) simply repudiating what others have clearly defined.

But if someone was trying to silence you by any means other than self-imposed censorship by peer pressure, I would be right on your side. When will all you people stop getting hung up on three words, and actually read everything others are saying? I never thought that three words on a noticeboard would influence people to read deep into my subconscious and lead them to decide what kind of person I am.

And can I just say that these types of discussions are what keeps a notcieboard alive? With little or no new activity in the Queen world questions about favorite albums, solos, etc can only be entertaining so many times. So encouraging others to drop the discussion or stop participating in these types of controversial topics is counterproductive. The reason eveyone is involved in this is because the rest of the BB is so dead. So I like these types of discussions.
