I'm jalous 2! I wrote him once but he never replied, not that I wrote anything intresting, but you now, those mails like: I love your songs and you music and you're my big hero and listening to your music makes me very happy. Blablabla. But I'm happy for you!

"I dont think he'd reply to any letter which slags the musical off! :-)"
I confirm that he doesn't reply to such emails - my personal experience :-)
I agree with Hank. Sometimes people write a letter concerning some interesting issue (songwriting, concerts etc.) and they wait for a simple "yes" or "no" reply but never get it (my case). Sometimes people write "it's not good to smoke" and they get a 4-page response from Brian. It looks quite stupid but there's nothing we can do about it, of course.
I wrote to Brian four letters. In three letters I was asking about things that I honestly considered very interesting. Never got a word of reply (don't know if Jen censored them or Brian decided not to reply). In the last (fourth) case. I gave up and sent him just a photo from AW tour with no question at all ("Hello, attached is a nice photo, bye"). Got a reply within 24 hours.

"Meanwhile, Brian sents handwritten letters to people making wooden Queen standups and other (IMO :-)) crap, while Valensia worked over a month on his recreation of BoRhap and would love to hear something from BM/RT,"
Not to be an apologist for Brian (because, lord knows, some of his comments on the Soapbox seem petty to me), but it's probably easier for him to reply with a simple "Thanks" then offer real criticism.
Look how many people he does respond to, and we can only imagine how many emails he gets. I know from my own experience that responding to several emails a day gets annoying, and my response to them gets shorter; I doubt it's any different for him. We also assume that he has nothing better to do than respond to emails, which is obviously not the case. They have a musical, apparently, and they really need to promote that so people attend, or else it might fail and the legacy of Queen as a massive rock band will be lost forever.

He doesn't need to criticize Valensia. Just a quick "Sounds very interesting, your version of XXXXX is great!" would do to the job :-)

I also think he wrote back to me because I included something about AIDS... hey, I mean some days I don't even respond to emails just because I don't want to.
True -- just imagine how many he must get... probably quite a large amount!

I agree, Pim, but now that I think about it, has Brian ever publically commented on his website about covers of his music?
Perhaps when the music is involved, legal issues come out to play, so Brian avoids comment. The only situation I can think of is Dark's emails to Brian about his remixes, and Brian was less then pleased with that. Maybe he's just being cautious by not replying.
Just a thought on my part.
