Can I convert bittorent files into MP3s for use on my MP3 player?
Yeah, if your find a programme to download called dbPowerAmp (its free) and download the flac codec, you should be able to encode them into mp3.
Go to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ and look under Codec Central to download the codec.
Hehe, just looking back at previous posts in this topic, I said I would start bittorenting then! But I've only just started (shows how lazy I am!) and I have to say its going pretty well!

Which bittorrent program do you use?
I've Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/) and I'm quite pleased with it but the only problem is that the JAVA program is slowing down my pc. Any suggestions for other programs?

You could be downloading the torrent itself, or your plugins aren't installed properly, or you might even have downloaded a non FLAC show... :)

Hi Richard, I have tried to download the BT's for different files you have shared on the home page. It seems I have done that correctly then proceded to DL the concert. Everything seems to have loaded in correctly. I have the BT file saved and showing in the main file I put it in. And I also have Dl'd the concert properly. That fole is saved as well. But it will not open to play it. Windows Media Player, Real Player, & Quicktime Player will not recognise it. What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
Thank you, Steve

Flac files do not play in MediaPlayer, RealPlayer or QuickTime etc. You need a Flac player.
The above link, provided earlier in this thread by YourValentine should be helpful (it helped me anyway).

Maybe I'm somewhat naiive when it comes to bittorent files...but why does it take so long to download before using encoding?
I'm now downloading my first bittorent file with BT Bit Tornado and will then use Flac Frontend to decode files. Is this right?
Any help or reassurance would be welcome.
