*shakes head* Whatever... but that was just a very odd question to ask. It's not a matter of knowing or not but it's basic information that Freddie was diagnosed in the late 80's and Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 1975... and AIDS wasn't even known about until the 80's.

EDIT: Okay-- now I just feel really mean... and I'm not a mean person so I didn't mean to call you dumb, okay?
-- And with the post count thing, I've seen a LOTTT of new people with that and thought it was a bit shady. :-)

I know P_G and it's not the first time you've responded with that sentence.

People, obviously you're not looking at the Bigger Picture here. Freddie knew he was going to die, especially at the young age he was in 1975 (never was good at math). He knew he'd 'become' gay three years later, and that he would contract AIDS more than a decade later, so he decided to write it all down in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which was originally titled 'I'll Contract A Disease In 1987 That We Don't Know Anything About, But Here's Proof That I'm Going To Die For Those Of You Careful Listeners'.

Shame you people are really not looking outside the box. I would've expected you all to be a little more open-minded.

i always thought bohemian rhapsody was written for wayne's world:P

I mean maybe freddie thought that it would be very funny if four guys would head bang to the song in a pinto 16 years later. wasnt that his vision all along.

- I heard that Freddie caught HIV from a flight attendant he had a relationship with in '82. He apparently got worried in '85 when he heard that the flight attendant was gravely ill with AIDS and died shortly after.

i heard on the freddie mercury story that he had probably contracted aids in new york where he was said to have indulged a lot. I agree that you don't need to be mean to newcomers after all aren't we supposed to be fans of this group called queen! No need to be cruel and sarcastic! right! lets all get along! i m sure that's what the members of queen would want! Unity!
Hello! All my beauties!!

I agree, But there is a difference between a sarcastic comment and a mean spirited one.
