*shakes head* Whatever... but that was just a very odd question to ask. It's not a matter of knowing or not but it's basic information that Freddie was diagnosed in the late 80's and Bohemian Rhapsody came out in 1975... and AIDS wasn't even known about until the 80's.

People, obviously you're not looking at the Bigger Picture here. Freddie knew he was going to die, especially at the young age he was in 1975 (never was good at math). He knew he'd 'become' gay three years later, and that he would contract AIDS more than a decade later, so he decided to write it all down in 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which was originally titled 'I'll Contract A Disease In 1987 That We Don't Know Anything About, But Here's Proof That I'm Going To Die For Those Of You Careful Listeners'.

i heard on the freddie mercury story that he had probably contracted aids in new york where he was said to have indulged a lot. I agree that you don't need to be mean to newcomers after all aren't we supposed to be fans of this group called queen!
