It really is great to be above all this tomfoolery and chronic nastiness.
*Climbs a bit further up the higher ground*
I wish I had a pound for every time I heard somebody say they were leaving Queenzone. I could have had a fiver by now. It would appear the two main aggressors here have said this in the past and not carried out their threat. All trousers no doubt.
*Adjusts position on pedestal*
It's good to be Sir Archie!

"It wasn't me who had the theory about certain clique keeping contact with each other on YIM using it to slander and plan attacks on people here. Someone else here mentioned that to me. "
No clue who you refer to here, but perhaps that person doesn't have the best motivations to begin with.
I can only assume who the clique is that is being referred to, but my own interactions with certain people in this thread have been nothing but friendly.

Freddie was HIV positive for 7 years before he died-that would make it 1984...so he probably wasn't writing about having aids and what not. Brian suggested this song was about Freddie's struggles with coming to terms with his homosexuality
Congratulations to those of you who replied politely and sensitively to somebody who is clearly a brand new fan with an honest answer. The rest of you, some of you were funny, most of you were down right SPITEFUL. when is newbie bashing going to go out of fashion or do i have to start takin the piss out of 'oldies' for their close minded arrogant attitudes? As Miss James points out, this was in fact a serious topic to an extent.
Did you notice that this topic is from April? Why pull it up now?
*backs Janet* I agree. What's the point?!
the lyric from Bohemian Rhapsody "so you think you can love me and leave me to die"...does anyone else think thats about Freddie having AIDS? or at least HIV. it makes sense...i was thinking about that today and i was wondering if anyone else thought the same thing
Good Lord. No one knew what aids was in that part of the 70's. Do some reasearch before you post assinine topics please.
uhh...right...
well i'm not a very big fan of Queen, it was just a question that had been bugging me because i came very interested in Freddie after i found out he died on my birthday. so it was just a random question i was hoping Queen fans would know...
Thenn what the hell are you doing here?!
I'm interested in this topic from another point of view.Did ever Freddie sang this line live in top high notes like he did in the studio version of Bo Rap or he always lowerised it like all the live versions that I listen to?
Great question!
The only live recordings I've found where Freddie's voice was in good enough shape (and when he was confident enough) to nail that high C are Glasgow 12-1-79 and Newcastle 12-4-79.

Thanks Sir GH! I wanted to ask that question as well.
Thank you Sir GH!I always wondered it and I was pretty sure that Fraddie could nail that high note even live, like Axl Rose did at the FM tribute in 1992.It would be great to listen to it in a way or another, maybe in the "Music Download" section.I hope someone will post it,if is it available.By the way,I'm visiting your site and I love the "Live Killers"Analisys. In fact,in 1979 I was only 6 years old but I was visiting a record shop at the seaside with my upper brother which was 11.Then,I put a look on this big vinil with these cover full of lights, orange and black with this 4 guys that was saluting me...It was the first time that I get in touch literally to Queen music and I won't stop right till the end!
Very good memories.
OK,thank you again!
