Well... Unfortunatelly, the Czechs played their worst game in this tournament... I feel for Nedved... Without him the whole thing TODAY just didn't work... And why there were no changes...? Mark Heinz- he already prooved to be a super-sub, why there were no substitutions apart from that Nedved- Smicer one?

Yes, our worst game in the tournament... but we still had more chances that the Greeks. Until the overtime; the Greeks were better in overtime and no wonder they scored.
Hopefully Portugal will win, they really deserve that. The Greeks play like we did 8 years ago - heavy defence, one goal each game and it's silver. Not much enjoyable.
I feel sorry for Nedved too. And I agree that Marek Heinz should have played, maybe instead of Smicer who hasn't played a good game for years.

The entire match yesterday was boring. I was actually almost sleeping as my friend suddenly shoutet at me "goooooooaaaaallll".

I actually hope that Greece will become European Champion. Who would have thought of that. What a suprise and then to think that Holland beat Greece with 4-0 while preparing for Euro 2004.

No one thought they'd make it. And that makes it all even more exciting!
But after they kicked Czech out I could imagine that they could be able to do it, I mean first France, then Czech. A team that beats them both is able to beat Portugal as well. But I didn't really believe it.

No, I think it's great for football that Greece won!
It shows that there ain't no so-called "football nations" anymore, with Spain, Italy, Germany going home before the quarters, followed by France and England. It shows that even countries that never were a big name in football are able to play well and to win.
And Greece played so much better than most of the big ones, actually better than all of them.

Greece probably "deserved" the title, because of their tactics. But you can win the championship this way once, not twice. In semi-finale and finale they just kept kicking the balls away from their half, they had one or two chances in each match and always from corner kicks only!

I totally agree with you Scully, though Sonja's point of view is interesting too. I hope the future will bring us champions with attacking styles of play. Like Czech Republic and Portugal showed this tournament. And now Advocaat is fired, Holland will play attractive too in the future.
