Who hit Brian with a dozen eggs? I've never seen that tour, did you go? If not, how'd you get your hands on it? I'd KILL to see that!

''I like it when Roger starts AOBTD at Wembley and Fred's taken by surprise. Show's they're human!''

Yeah this is by far my favourite moment on the entire Wembley DVD - I just love Fred's bewildered face then he laughs it off so naturally and almost makes it part of the act.

Get in the groove, baby!

This has been mentioned here before, and I was quite disturbed when I saw it for the first time, but where in the Wembley 86 concert does John do that really odd thing with his hands (he sorta faces his hands torwards the audience and does a wax on, wax off time move)? I tried to find it the other day so I could amuse myself, but can't remember which song.

What the f*ck was that all about anyway?!
[QUOTENAME]BornToBeKings wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I like the vocal improvisation after Radio Ga Ga during the Live Aid performance. I guess that because it was televised, Freddie couldn't utter his usual expletive after the call and response, just yelling "Alright!" instead. Lo and behold, the crowd repeats this too, like an entire stadium of third graders. Classic.
You know, I remember that! But I had forgotten it was on the Live Aid performance. I guess that MTV DID broadcast at least part of the Queen set then, or maybe it was on the radio, but I remember the audience going "Awright!" just as Freddie had.

One I like is on one of the early 80's shows I have, from 80 or 81, where Freddie asks the audience "Do you like my mustache? Do you think I should shave it off?" then when a resounding "YESSSSSSSSS!" is heard from the crowd, he says "F*&^ OFF!", and then comments that he had told the audience to do the same thing in another city.

There's also a show from Chicago, I think it might actually be the same show, from 80 or 81, where Brian speaks before Love Of My Life, and says something like "How they can build a place that sounds this bad in this day and age is beyond me!".

I like the bit on the Earl's Court 77 video, where Freddie tells the audience to "Have champaigne for breakfast! Just go out and buy it!". And that show also has that weird noise during You Take My Breath Away. I kinda get the impression from the look on his face, Freddie heard, and was a little pissed.

Also on Earl's Court, there's the bit where Freddie says "This looks a right carnival" as he's fiddling with his hair. What's he saying, that he's having a bad hair day?

As for bloopers, I like the Osaka show from teh Night At The Opera tour, where Freddie starts singing "I don't want to die, but I wish I'd never (mumble, mumble) carry on, carry on" (in other words, he started singing the end of the second verse in place of the end of the first verse).
"Compromise? That word is not in our vocabulary"-Roger Taylor, quoting Freddie Mercury

Actually it was Adam Lambert's hairdryer that blew up after he plugged it into the amp by mistake.

This one cracks me up every time. It's from a show in East Rutherford, NJ, on August 9, 1982. Taken from the excellent site Queenlive.ca and tentatively abridged by myself :

(...) A bit over three minutes into his solo spot, Brian breaks a string on the Red Special. He turns off the analog delays, and tries to make the best of the situation for a brief while (...). But he ultimately gives up, unplugs, and is then handed his John Birch copy. Within a couple minutes, the Birch goes out of tune. He takes the guitar off, and throws it over his stack of Vox cabinets (the one and only time he did this), snapping it in half. (...) Brian then finishes his solo spot with a Gibson Flying V.

(...) After the song ends, Freddie asks, "How are we doing with the guitars?" He tells the audience, "I think tonight's the night we're gonna break as many guitars as we've got. If anyone in the audience has a spare guitar, bring it over here!" Someone in the audience replies, "I've got three!"

On the 'Get Down Make Love' bootleg, Freddie introduces 'Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting' as "Here's a song by a well known poofter"....Elton was firmly (publically) heterosexual at the time!! :-)
