On the 'Get Down Make Love' bootleg, Freddie introduces 'Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting' as "Here's a song by a well known poofter"....Elton was firmly (publically) heterosexual at the time!! :-)
What show was this?
Osaka 1985!
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury

When Brian and Freddie messed up the first sentence of Save Me (It started off so well), then stopped and Freddie said: Well, that didn't start off so well - or something like that.

Sammy was low
He was watching the show
all day long
Yeah

Freddie completely forgets it's late is also good.
And the works medley that ends with Freddie admitting he couldn't remember the words and just made them up.

''I like it when Roger starts AOBTD at Wembley and Fred's taken by surprise. Show's they're human!''

Yeah this is by far my favourite moment on the entire Wembley DVD - I just love Fred's bewildered face then he laughs it off so naturally and almost makes it part of the act.

Get in the groove, baby!

Elton had come out to Rolling Stone in 1976, proclaiming himself bi-sexual. True, he married in 1984, and was married at the time of this concert and statement, but I don't think anyone was really fooled about Elton's sexuality by that point.

My favourite has to be from Delamere Forest '74 where Freddie asks for requests and someone shouts "Cheer Up Charlie". Freddie replies "from the WIlly Wonka film? Are you mad?"

He then walks over to the piano and plays a few bars from the song, but improvised his own lyrics such as 'cunt off, Charlie' before going straight into SSOR.
