What is the US #1 in?

Gold Medals
Silver Medals
Total Medals

We're trailing Russia by two Bronze metals, pity.

No gold medals in modesty then.

Ha, modesty! I scoff at the very word. What do you call a flock of lions?

:P

I am only modest in my own achievements (if any there may exist; I'm working on it), as I should expect of everybody, and which I commend most Olympic athletes for having.

Remember, its the taking part that counts not the winning, just look at Paula Radcliffe.

I see the ugly American stereotype is alive and well.
Socialism: There's one for you, nineteen for me Should five per cent appear too small Be thankful I don't take it all

Look at the level of arrogance...

We call a shitty basketball team "The Dream Team".

There is no real stereotype, Americans just have more things to be proud of and less worries. We're all the same person, though. Plus, I wouldn't call pride 'ugly'.

USA #1?? oh please...don't be ridiculous!

America is totally overrated.

If you combine the countries of europe to the same population as america you get the following results:

Germany 32
France 25
Britain 22
Italy 21
Netherlands 18
EU total: 118 medals United States: 72

That's a little more realistic and fair isnt it?

Before everyone starts comparing medals wins, we should wait for all the rediculous appeals that are happening and for all the drug results to come in ;-)

China's amount of medals are pretty sad...if you compare their population to medal ratio.

Don't be completely ridiculous. If the United States had five teams compete for every event, Their combined medal count would either exceed or be comparable to 118. America is definitely overrated, but that doesn't make my point of the US being #1 incorrect in any way.

You are still shit at football. And I'm not talking about your stop, start, stop, start 'gridiron' effort for which you wear more pads than need be.
