My favorite sad songs:
-Dear friends
-Love of my life
-You take my breath away
-Save me
-Is this the world we created
-Who wants to live forever
-Forever (the instrumental version of WWTLF)
-These are the days of our lives
-The show must go on
-It's a beautiful day
-Mother Love
-Too much love will kill you
All those songs have made me shed a tear at least once...
And actually all songs on Made in Heaven album have something sad in them, when you know the context of their recording

Posts in chronological order
Mother Love, These Are The Days Of Our Lives and The Show Must Go On. They've just got such a sad, thoughtful feel to them, even more so because Freddie knew he was dying while they were being recorded.
Heaven For Everyone
Cause Roger and Freddie explains that everybody can be up to heaven, which Freddie, and his dad, is right now.

The 'These Of The Days Of Are Lives' video is truly heartbreaking. I choose to skip it when the DVD is on. Shouldn't do I know but it is just so sad to see Fred say 'I still love you'.
The strength of the rest of the guys to write 'Know one but you' is quite staggering. Again, a song I don't choose to play very often :(
Anyhow, what a depressing subject this is. Need an urgent fix of the 'One Vision' studio documentary to perk up a bit.

This is a hard nut! Queen did really write many depressing songs, but I like it. The mixture of happiness and sadness are great! But I can't choose between so many songs, but some of them are:
The Show Must Go On
These Are The Days Of Our Lives
All Dead, All Dead
A Winter's Tale
I'm Going Slightly Mad
My Melancholy Blues
Nevermore
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Who Wants To Live Forever
The Show Must Go On
These Are The Days Of Our Lives
All Dead, All Dead
A Winter's Tale
I'm Going Slightly Mad
My Melancholy Blues
Nevermore
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Who Wants To Live Forever
No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young)
Save Me
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Guide Me Home - Freddie
How Can I Go On - Freddie
Why Don't We Try Again - Brian
Don't Try So Hard
These Are The Days of our Lives
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Dear Friends
Save Me
Too Much Love Will Kill You
Guide Me Home - Freddie
How Can I Go On - Freddie
Why Don't We Try Again - Brian
Don't Try So Hard
These Are The Days of our Lives
Sail Away Sweet Sister
Dear Friends
"Mother Love", Freddie's last recording
"These Are The Days Of Our Lives", yes, really, just heartbreaking, I sometimes cried listening to that song
"The Show Must Go On"
"Love Of My Life"
"My Melancholy Blues"
"You Take My Breath Away"
"Who Wants To Live Forever"
Queen's sensitive side is so strong. Those who dislike the band should hear those songs at first.

Dear Friends, I believe. And no one can take that away from me...except God..maybe.
Or me. And I just did.
On-topic: I'd say Queen's saddest song is 'Bijou', and Freddie's saddest is 'How Can I Go On'.
Bijou and TATDOOL take it right away, but if you think about the situation Freddie was in, and listen to certain lyrics in the song, Delilah is extremely sad, no matter what the tempo!
Well, if you look at it in context, I think The Show must go on is, I think it was infact freddies way of saying, even after I'm gone, i'll still be here, keep the music alive....
TATDOOL is him saying goodbye and that he still loves us.
-White Queen
-Nevermore
-Dont Try So Hard
-Jealousy
-Dear Friends
-You Take My Breath Away
-Too Much Love Will Kill You
-These are the days of our lives
-Is This The World We Created
Personally, i dont see how "show must go on" is sad in anyway. The song basically says ill spit on death, it wont break me down, and ill rightfully take its path. He could mean by "show" our journey after death. I think its the human spirit accepting its fate beautifully. Come on death lets party!

Who Wants To Live Forever?
It was written in the back of the car that Freddie Mercury was riding home from the hospital in the night he discovered he had AIDS. Is that sad enough for you?

And we know this how?
