Mother love is the song that causes me the greatest anguish, more than any other. I don't find Who Wants to Live Forever incredibly sad - though it is sad - because of the final verses. "...Forever is our today!"

Love of my life... one of the very few songs that can make me sniffle... when i listen to it in a less than wonderful mood, many sniffles ensue...
and sad in a different way is 'under pressure'... sad because everyone now assosiates it with vanilla ice
Yeah. "Love of My Life" is another one that always gets me, along with "'39," "Spread Your Wings," "All Dead All Dead," and "The Prophet's Song," for some reason.
I also agree with you on "Under Pressure." So many people think of Vanilla Ice, it's sad. They just refuse to believe that Queen and Bowie did it first.

That's what I read too. I think I read it in the little pack thing from the "Classic Queen" CD or something.
Too Much love will kill you is the saddest song to me- it was his way of telling us what he was going through with his struggle against Aids.

I wonder why for so many of you These Are the Days of our Life is a very sad song. I mean, it's melancholic, but it also brings me lots of serenity. To me its message is: even if we get old and things change, the bond with those we love will always be the same.
