Did freddie ever write a song about/for mary

I was wondering if freddie ever wrote a song for or about mary austin. Or does anyone think there might be a song that could be about her. I only ask because usually people write love songs when they're in love and maybe he wrote a song about her in the 70's. Well what do you guys think?

I doubt so. why would he write to her "you`ve hurt me, you`ve broken my heart and now you leave me" if she hadn`t left him and (as far as I know) she hadn`t broken his heart or hurt him. That`s more the kind of song she would write for him imo

I'm not sure if the lyrics are Freddie's or Brian's or both but I always thought Mother Love, at least the first verse, was about Mary.

I always thought mary was the one who broke his heart i mean if he had really been the one to leave her he probably wouldnt have lived with her afterwards. I mean if he still loved her he would want to be close to her.

Oh and Freddie wrote love of my life! I thought maybe take jealousy or you take my breath away!

AG sorry to disagree, but according to a very close friend of mine who knew FM personally and the person "You Take MY Breathe Away" was written for, David Minns, FM's lover at the time.

According to my source, David Minns was absolutely "devasted" when he heard the song, it is a beautiful love song one of FM's finest IMHO.
