For the past two summers, I worked at Dorney Park amusement parks in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I was first hired as a ride operator, then was promoted after a month to the assistant supervisor of that ride. I came back this past summer as the supervisor of one of the biggest rollercoasters in the park, and next summer, I hope to be a supervisor of a whole area of rides in the park. If that happens, I get a walkie-talkie!
When I'm not busting my ass at the amusement park, for the past four years I'd worked as a busser/server/bitch/host at a local restaurant, earning decent pay, but my hours got cut back SEVERELY this past spring, and it was only as one position (bitch), so I declined to come back in September. Thankfully, my mom started training me on book designing (as she is a book designer), and I'm helping her design books, making about $20/hr.

I'm a software engineer. It's not too bad. I can listen to music pretty much all day, at least!
Damn, if I were wearing a hat I would doff it to you.
I could get all technical and explain it to you, but I'll let my friend Mr. Green Thing do it for me instead:

How old were you back then? I got a Six Flags walkie-talkie when I got promoted at 16 1/2 y.o. I snooped on the Security channel and the restricted channels. I even had 2 at a time, when my co-lead was absent.
I started working there when I was 19; now I'm 21.

I had always thought you were in your thirties, Lester..lol. Oops!
Yeah, I think that's what most people think. Common misconception debunked!
And my name isn't actually Lester, or else I'd be suing the kind directors of American Beauty. My name is actually Georg.

Teach me how to play the guitar...OVER THE INTERNET..AND FOR FREE!
That'd be an adventure.
It would work, except there is no way to remotely administer merciless beatings, which I have always found to be an indispensable teaching tool.
