Not a great fan of Jazz "Jealousy" and "In Only Seven days" are the only 2 songs i listen to from it
Jazz is one of my faves; I love the songs (except more of that Jazz), but I do have to agree that it doesn't have much of a flow to it.

My favourites!
I also like Fat Bottomed Girls.
(the song, I mean! hehe)
i bought it too recently, so i couldn´t form an in-depth opinion about it, but in general, i think it´s good.
just bought sheer heart attack today - really wonderful

The only songs I don't like are Dead On Time and More of That Jazz. I take the Rolling Stone critics with a grain of salt, American, after all.
Haha... I just bought it too (two days ago).
I like Jazz album. I could live without 'Fun It' and I'm another one, who doesn't like Roger's sound of drums (too 'thin' and electronical-like), but that's all. It's rock album full of shorter songs, no more, no less. Maybe they tried to answer start of punk era in that time. It's really not bad LP and that RollingStone Jazz review seems to me almost unbelievable.
Well, Rolling Stone has never been exactly positive about Queen, except for Queen I.
and maybe hotspace, too.
For me Jazz is the greatest pop-rock album ever, no less. Along with A Night At The Opera. I have not listened either of them for months...
This is the album that for me really represents Freddies thinking of Queen-Music as pure escapism.
Very interesting that it was mentioned they intentionally wanted it to be a 3-Minute-Popsong-Album, 'cause thats what I always thought of it. A few nice moments with two strokes of genius (DSMN and Mustapha) and that's it, on to the next, so to speak.

oh darling...queen made 14 albums(i do not count live and gh)!!!!!
Can't see any punk infuences on this album whatsoever. Was never aware this album was particularly unpopular with Queen fans? Its usually rated way above the likes of Hot Space, AKOM and The Miracle. The drum sound on this album are really interesting, with the snare panned to one channel and the high-hat panned to the other. I see The Strokes have played around with this technique aswell.
