When I heard Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure and Bicycle Race coming from my sister's radio on a recorded cassette. As a result, I asked my older sister to borrow the 1981 Elektra cassette copy and made myself a copy. My mom barred me from listening to Queen when I was a kid because Freddie was bi. However after my parents split and I went to live with my father, he uplifted the ban.

my dad always played queen round the house so i knew and sang along to the songs, but it wasn't until i saw live aid in '85 that i thought WOW THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!
It was Bo Rhap that got my attention in a big way but it was when I got SHA that I was hooked.
I had already heard CLTCL when it came on the radio, but never cared too much about it... When I got my cousin's 45 collection, i found CLTCL 45 between other Queen 45s, and I thought "Hey I think I know this song...". What I can say is i really listened carefully to it, and was rather pleased.
I decided to check the B side... It was a song called "We Will Rock You (Live)" I still remember the first 60 seconds... I was blasted away! It sounded so powerful! What a prodigiality of energy! Who were they? Were they the same who played CLTCL?
After that I decided to check my cousin's Greatest Hits LP... No need to say I was hooked immediatly when I heard Bohemian Rhapsody. Pure genious!

Killer Queen....been hooked ever since (yes, when it was released 30 years ago!)
Another One Bites The Dust hands down. I distinctly remember when the song was released. I heard it on the radio one morning when my mom was taking me to Kindergarten. Not long after, I saw a double feature of Superman 2 and Flash Gordon. The only thing I remember from that night was the Queen music.

Well, I've heard Queen many times, We Will Rock You, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Miracle, etc.
But the song that secured me as a fan was...well...Action This Day.
Not only is it one of their best songs off of Hot Space, but also it proves that Queen can dominate both rock and dance, which is very tough to do.
Plus, the beat is so infectous, it's too good!

BoRap caught my undivided attention and Somebody To Love proved to me that Queen was no fluke band.

Bohemian Rhap.......in 1992......then I knew about We will rock you and We are the champions but did'nt know those songs were from queen....bought the greatest hits the same year and I became addicted to the band....Still addicted to it.

What led me to Queen tho was Freddie's Mr Bad Guy...my mother was OBSESSED with "I Was Born to Love You" (she still is). She's the only person I know that likes Mr. Bad Guy more than any of the Queen albums.

Well. Omce I was in the musicstore, for buying a beatles record. But they didn't have what I wanted. So I thought that maybe something other would be great. My musicteacher in school had once said that Innuendo was good, so I bought it. And when I listened to it I thought it was amazing, until that day, the best record I've ever heard. And thats the way it went. Since that day I am a truly queenfan.
