which song confirmed you as a queen fan?

for me : killer queen & the show must go on.
before that i've heard bohemian rhapsody and bicycle race and liked them but when i listened to killer queen and TSMGO i said to myself " hey this band has somethang especial" and listened more and more of them and become a fan.

I heard Bohemian Rhapsody, Prophet's Song, and Death on Two Legs, but never really cared for any of them...

And then I heard We Are the Champions on The Queen Collection...Hearing the Royal Philharmonic play Queen made me listen to them again, and I am now quite besotted with them (and I am also very fond of those three songs, to say the least)!

Well, it was at prom, and I was more interested in the guy I was dancing with than the music! Also, in my defense, I'd never heard of Queen before, and thought it was several songs, not one. I will admit that now, looking back, I'm shocked at how little I cared for Queen when I first heard them...but I had also never listened to secular music before, so that was a big thing for me, too.

Hearing We Are The Champions for the first time.

I have listen to A Night At The Opera for a long time. I liked listen to it but I wasn't a fan.
And then I heard the Greatest Hits album and I just liked the music very well. I think there wasn't just one special song that confirmed me as a fan. One day I just wanted to know more about this band and I just fell in love with this music :P

Listening to No-One But You (Only The Good Die Young) when watching the We Will Rock You musical. I already knew Bohemian Rhapsody, Under Pressure, We Will Rock You and We Are The Chapmpions, but was never paying much attention to them until I'd seen the musical. Just a few weeks before I watched the musical, I saw videos of Somebody to Love and You're My Best Friend and fell in love with them.

I agree Killerqueen. A great way to close Queen: doing a song for a member of the band, such a rare ocassion.

I remember my next door neighbour sitting me down nearly 30 years ago and putting a pair of headphones on me. That was the first time I heard The Prophets' Song. It was pretty spectacular, and nothing like anything else I'd ever heard.

I think it was "The miracle", which someone put on a tape that came into my possession for some reason. I think that IWTBF and RG also played a role.

Bicycle Race- and I thought all the while that Bon Jovi sang it. How foolish of me.

sorry - from a mouldy oldie - i heard SSOR - and loved it - completely (spring 74)
then later that same year 74 - Killer Queen got me hooked, somehow, Now I'm Here (until a couple of years after) completely passed me by...then in late 75 i remember tuning in to TOTP to see THE video - cut n pasted and sliced and diced to fit the end credits of the show because the sad-arses at the BEEB got fed up with it's reign at the top

Killer Queen - but at the age of 12 I didn't like the fact they didn't smile. But Bohemian Rhapsody cured me of that reservation and I was totally hooked.
