Greendays new album- where do we stand on nu metal?

'Wake Me Up When September Ends' has become my favorite Green Day song ever.

I hope it becomes the next single from the album.

Green Day isn't Nu-Metal it's Punk! Maybe Nu-Punk! :P

I'm gonna have to agree with Fairy King and say that 'Nu-punk' is the most appropiate genre to call Green Day's style.

Calling Green Day nu-metal shows that you just simply don't know anything about music.
It's like calling Red Hot Chili Peppers grunge.
