When my Mum worked for Customs & Excise, she had to escort a man onto a flight because he was being deported - it was Pan Am flight 102 that crashed in Lockerbie.
It was flight 103 actually ;o)

Well folks, I'll give you the buzz, the waters around here have been absolutely shocking. Extremely choppy and larger waves coming from no where. The tide would set earlier than usual and for a very short time.
I suppose it's bound to have a large casualty rate hitting India/Sri Lanka/Indonesia/Malaysia, some of the most densely populated countries in the world. Sad though. Aftershocks could claim more lives. Sad stuff.
Yep, true about Pan Am Flight 103.

It so unfair because you can't blame anyone.. no one can control it. They're expecting new shakes and waves anytime and no one can do anything about it. Mother nature is stronger than anything else in the world and that's damn scary!
It was 9,0 on the Richter Scale. They said that's the power of 10.000 atomic bombs.
Now figure that!!

its not fair that assholes like Saddam are allowed to live, while innocent people die.
I agree. It isn't at all fair. It's A Hard Life. I'm not having a very good time at the moment because i've fallen out with both my parents over nothing. Nothing at all. My dad woke up in a mood and has just gone to bed in a mood. Because i dont want to watch a film now and want to come on to QZ my sisters had a go at me. When stuff like this happens it really fucking pisses me off. I feel like no one likes me and everythings my fault. Or thats what my parents say. And i never do anything at all sometimes. Hopefully tomorrow they'll be happy and would have forgotten about it.
Great news Britney. Me and mt parents are now getting along fine again. I now feel alot happier.
Sorry this isn't anything to do with the topic.

It's scary to see what water can do... Especially when you know you life only a few kilometres from the North see. It’s so bad to see al those dead children there, laying down in their parents arms. Awful, It did destroy my Christmas feeling.

Joe Satriani: I will not diminish your pain, but if you put your problem in the prospective to what happened in Asia, you'll feel better.
I'm still also trying the grasp the great tragedy that happened. Why does it always happen in the poorest countries?
A few years ago, maybe 10 years ago, a tornado devastated the countries of El Salvador, Nicaragua and Guatemala, over 10,000 people died in one day. I was watching the news, they were talking about what happened and after they commented that "the price of coffee probably will rise now". I was appalled (spl?), what's the price of coffe compared to the deaths? If they would have said that a few weeks after the tragedy and I would have accepted it. I called the channel and made my comment. They treated very rudely and said that "that was news and we have the right to give the news".
Now that I've taken that off my chest (phew!), I'll say that I think contributions can be made to the Thai Red Cross through the internet.

True
War and natural disasters are two completely different things, the only thing that both have in common is that on both innocents are the ones who take the worst part.
However, I think that world leaders and those who wage for wars are to blame in this case because all the money spent on making weapons and other military expenses could help a lot as a relief of the tsunami victims in Asia, as well as helping fight poverty, hunger, and disease on third world countries.
Shame on them!

I'm glad that the Asian region has come together although a noted absence is North Korea. Tamil Tigers needing help, Pakistanis helping India, Aceh Rebels needing help.
This maybe a blessing in disguise albeit a fucking ugly harpy bitch.

If Kim Jong Il doesn't give a flying fuck about making his own people starve to death instead of making nuclear weapons and incresing his country's military power, much less he cares about people in other countries.
Can't wait for the day that motherfucker dies and burns in hell for all eternity.
