The guitar intro of Led Zeppelin's song "Whole Lotta Love" is very similar to The Cross' "Top Of The World" intro - has Roger or someone else from The Cross ever explained or said something about this?
(By the way, the middle part of "Whole Lotta Love" sounds a little bit close to Pink Floyd's "On The Run", in my opinion)

The Cross were simply the best thing to have come out of Queen and the saddest thing in the world is that EMI didn't have the guts to back them alongside Queen as an on-going project. I don't know how Roger managed to stay contracted with them after snubbing them like that.
Blue Rock and MBADTK are better than ANYTHING Queen did in the 1980's IMHO as were The Cross's live shows - they were raw and exciting in a way that Queen ceased to be.

Whole Lotta Love was also the inspiration behind the Queen track "Get Down, Make Love", and they both have very similar middle sections.

Also note that Led Zeppelin's Rock n Roll starts exactly like Litte Richard's "Keep on Knockin'", which was covered by Roger, who is also known as a Little Richard fan.

I've never heard any of these songs so i can't say much but i have the 'Whole Lotta Love' at home. I'll listen to that later and compare it to the Cross track.
By the way. Does anyone know whe The Cross broke up? I remember an interview where Roger was asked whether he would reunite with them. And the answer came as fast as you could say blueberry pie: NO! No way!
