The only exception is that while Whole Lotta Love is hugely over-rated and not a great song, Top of The World Ma is definitely one of the best rock songs ever.

Congratulations, this quoted post qualifies under three categories:

Top 10 stepford comments
Top 10 ignorant posts
Top 10 crap QZ posts ever

Comparing anything by The Cross to Led Zeppelin is far beyond the comparing apples and oranges analogy. A Queen spin-off, mediocre at best, vs. one of the most, if not *the* most influential rock band of all time? Not a chance.

Most of the Cross' material is bland and simplistic rock music. Zeppelin paved the way for millions after them, and showed the world what putting on a rock concert was all about.

I like that. It fits. :)

I like it too. WHO said it?

A german musician named Heinz-Rudolf Kunze, who was a guest-critic in musicmagazine "Musikexpress-Sounds" in March 1991. In that issue "Innuendo" was voted "Album of the month" and his short review was somthing like this: "You lie motionless and powerless as a giant layercake settles down on your face and makes you wonderfully sick - Queen are the sense of humour that Led Zeppelin never had."
Even though the guy is a moron and his heyday is long ago, I actually liked this review...
Guten Tag und Guten Abend !!! We had a great time in Cologne. Drinking beer in the sunshine beside the Mighty Rhein brought back many memories for me..... (Brian May, 2004)
