How long do you think we should wait to hear about Brixton before giving up hope?
brianmay.com says QFC AND QOL members will be contacted by snail mail to let them know that theyve won... so how come people are claiming to have been already contacted by email? And how come people are claming to have seat numbers & areas when there isn't that much seating at the Brixton Academy & is always unreserved?
The whole situation is fucked up. They should have just put them up for sale on QOL.

I believe most of the people who have won already have probably won via queenonline registration rather than the Fan Club. The Brian May page also said they would contact Fan club members by email if they had an email address, otherwise it will be via snail mail.
I actually called the Fan Club last night and there was a message from Jacky on the answerphone saying that letters would go out soon and everybody who has won should know by the end of the week.
So I would not lose hope until Friday, but the closer it gets to the end of the week the more chance you have missed out.
I still waiting to hear as well, so am hoping on the snail mail. If not I will have to make do with Cardiff, Birmingham and Wembley.

Brians website says that QOL members are also being contacted by snail mail, not e-mail.
A lot of the claims of winning that I've read have been suspicious... why would winners have been given a link to Ticketweb, when Ticketmaster is handling it? Theyre 2 different companies.

This is what I read on the "Queen News" part of brianmay.com website. it was posted there on the 22nd Jan.

I just spoke with Jacky [QFC] about the uncertainty over the 'Lottery' and this is what she asked me to let you know:
The Lottery is being handled by Ticketmaster and they have a file of OIQFC winners, but it is in 'postal address' format rather than email. They are sending this to Jacky over the weekend and the plan is to email those who have won and for whom Jacky has an email address on Monday, and to snail mail anyone else immediately after.
So please be patient - it may take a few days if you are an OIQFC winner.

I am going to see if I get anything in the post this week. If not I will assume that I have not won.
I guess a few people may be lucky later, if some of the initial winners decide not to buy their allocated tickets.

QOL are sending out snail mail letters to all those successful in the Lottery (both QFC members and QOL registrants), hopefully starting today. Many of these are in far flung parts of the world... so it may be a few days before these are received and responded to. Patience required

I haven't seen that but I guess if that is the case then people might have to wait a bit longer.
But as far as I remember/can see on queenonline.com when you register it only asks for your name, email address, sex, postcode and country when you register. For the UK at least this is not enough information for posting anything out via snail mail. The postcode only goes as far as identifying a road. So they must have to get the address details first by emailing people or somehow matching names to house numbers.
To me is seems easier to email the QOL people.
Just my thoughts on the subject ......

I can't recall what info they ask for when you register on QOL, but it IS possible for a company to obtain someones postal address from just a name & post code.
Does anybody know how the unclaimed tix will be distributed?
Anything in this morning's post anyone?!!
"Does anybody know how the unclaimed tix will be distributed?"
There is a queue and ticketmaster will offer rejected tickets to the next person in the queue.
All these infos are very confusing. I am sure that QOL has no reliable data base with postal addresses. It could take weeks if all tickets are distributed that way. A potential good idea is ruined by the very uncoordinated and amateurish handling.
It's also bad style that they never say how many tickets are actually allocated to fans in this lottery. It's well possible that hundreds of tickets go to the press, VIPs and guests for free and that the lottery winners have to pay for the guests. This would explain the top price for a "fan event".

No, you have to enter your adress and such when you order the tickets!
It was about the lottery winners being notified by snail mail, Jeroen - I am sure they don't have the full address of each QOL member.
I'm sorry... çourse I didn't think properly before posting ;-)
