The first time I heard a certain song. Mmmmm

Saw them supporting Mott the Hoople and, like BHM1775, the rest is history. During that time I was involved in two video shoots with them as part of the crowd (being a fan club member) and got to meet them on a one to one basis and they were all really down to earth and friendly (although Freddie was a bit reserved) and that just reinforced my dedication to the group.
My mum quite liked Queen (although my dad hates them. He likes the music, but hates anyone who ruined punk. That goes for Free too.) However, the first time I really heard Queen as such was when I was twelve. The choir at my school played WWRY (the musical) but they didn't even attempt BoRap. They played the record. The whole thing blew my mind. I got The Platinum Collection for Christmas and having listened to the whole thing about three times a day for a week, Queen became my favourite band. I proceeded to collect all the albums and DVDs. Can't get enough.

when i was young, my older brother would sing to me bohemian rhapsody and would sound vey funny to me. when i was a teen my older cousin had I want to break free ,and i would listen to it over and over. i never knew who sang the songs. then years later my husband dedicated Love of my life, to me. i've been listening to them ever since.
I thought I was losing on of my best friends and she was listing to Queen , and becoming obsesed with them, so to find a common ground with her I listend to the two Queen cds my grandpa had. I loved them , but it took me awhile to get the names to the right people. That was somewhere around last year or so I can't really remember. Now I love Queen and Roger Taylor!
I played a great symphony orchestra arrangement of bohemian rhapsody.
and thats when I decided Queen was hXc.

April 20 - 1992. Easter Monday...
I actually went out and bought my first CD - Live Killers. I thought, for some reason (maybe it was because I was 14 years old...young, dumb, and full of....well...) that I was buying 'Greatest Hits'. I wasn't too pleased at first....
Anyway...driving home, I turn on our local radio station and the tribute concert is starting. I immediately tell whomever is driving to get home. Luckily I was able to watch the entire 6-hour (yes, there was a ton of commercials) telecast on Much Music - I was hooked.
And ironically, Live Killers is one of my favorite albums.
For what it's worth.

Through my older brother who was 6 years older than me. He started getting into Queen when BoRap came out. I just overheard a lot of the music he was playing. A year later he had a tape of ANATO which one of his friends had recorded for him, shortly followed by ADATR. When I got my first tape player for my 7th birthday in 1977 I borrowed those tapes and got hooked. Bought WATC as my first single when that was in the charts and got copies of all the other albums up to that point, taped off LPs borrowed from the local library. I may not always like my big, bossy brother but somethings I do have to thank him for, especially since he took me with him to my first two concerts in 1982 and 1984 when I was only 12 and 14 respectfully. I would never have got to see them before I was 16 otherwise.
Well, my other is a Queen fan, and I remember whem I was little that she was always playing Queen whem we washed the house ;) I remember "Living on my own" really good. But It wasn't until I thik 3 year ago that I started listening to it "for real" I just fell in love with Boh Rhap. Now I think I play Queen everyday ^^
i saw bohemian rhapsody on waynes world, though it was weird, listened to it in full, loved it, bough the platinum collection months later, months months later bought ANATO, ADATR, JAZZ, INNUENDO, LIVE KILLERS, A KIND OF MAGIC AND THE GAME.
I was at school in 1975 and remember hearing Bo Rap for the 1st time and rushing out to buy it. Then followed the albums - first one I bought was Queen 2 which blew my mind. There were 4 of us at school all Queen fans together, all thru school till we left in 1982. And 2 of us recently went to Sheffield together - 30 years on. Makes me feel very old - but very lucky and privelged to have had Queen in life for all this time, through my formative years, right through my adult life till I am an old fogey 41 year old who is now getting her two little ones into the music (they are only 2 and 4 - but boy! does my 2 year old daughter know how to rock!!!)

I was around 16 and it was big in my school, we would all pretend to do the hand banging rocker part in class
OH NO TEST!! (every one handbangs)
CLASS BELL!! (ever one handbangs)
After that I stole classic and greatist hits 1 from a store near me, along with porn and candy.
