How did you become a Queen Fan?

Back in late 91 early 92, while me and my mother were at her friends house, she put on some Queen videos (Greatest Flix 2) on for me while they were chatting away in the kitchen, I just sat there watching videos, and more videos, liked it more and more...that's how it started!

Can anyone remember the t.v show Gladiators with Urika Johnson presenting, well they used to play AOBTD when a Gladiator was defeated. Me and my brother used to play pretend Gladiators all the time, fighting each other with cushions and my dad(who is a Queen fan) used to put AOBTD on the stereo for us to make it more realistic.

Thats how I got into Queen, I wasn't a massive fan till about 1999/2000 though.

My mom played it over and over on the radio, one day i did some research on the band i'm hooked.

Saw Seven Seas of Rhye on Top of the Pops & thought not bad. Then didn't really get into them (being a teenage Heavy Metal & Prog rock snob - i.e.I thought Queen were (mistakenly) a bit of a girly pop band) then in the morning after a drunken party at college in the early 80's someone put on Live Killers,then a friend who had lost interest in them plyed me Queen II. And I was hooked. Eventually I managed to save enough to buy the Complete Box in the mid 80's & haven't looked back since. I have to say though that the more I listen to tem the greater regard I have for them - e.g. they would have been in the lower reaches of my 20 favoutite bands in the mid to late 80's, now they are in my top 5 and sometimes nothing else will do. In case you're interested the other bands/artists in my top 5 are Deep Purple (& related), Yes (& related), Emerson Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull. wot no Zeppelin - in my top 10 but personally I feel overrated.

I became a Queen Fan in my early days. My Father had the album "Innuendo", and the songs burned into my head as i was two years old. we had a small appartment and my parents were listening to the album the whole day, so I also had to. Then there was a time,´as we lost all our CDs and a few years ago I found them again, and didn't know, why I knew the somgs, word by word. I don't remembered the time I was two years old and so I asked my Parents. They told me the whole story, told me about the death of Freddie, and some fats about the band.
This way I became a Queenfan and I am still one.
