It's only an opinion, get a life. As much as I love the original Queen, when you get older you will realise that a band is not the be all and end all of what life is all about.

In the mid-nineties I saw the Brian May band... yesterday I had the privilege to see Queen + Paul rodgers in Antwerp... unfortunately I never saw them as a group of 4 but passionate as I am I have a very good idea of what that would have been like..
I just like 2 say 2 all those who think & say negative about the current queen line-up:
1.lots of queenfans have never had the opportunity 2 experience the magic of queen on tour and this is the next best thing.
2. Paul Rodgers was great along Brian and Roger, better even than I expected. he never pretends 2 try and fill Freddies shoes he just gives his interpretation, a thing that sometimes sounds strange but also sometimes gives that little bit extra...

3. when Roger sings 'bout his car and Brian goes accoustic IT IS 100% Queen nobody can argue with that... (e.g. Brian sings love of my life don't leave me... and nearly 16000 voices complete the song as if it was in the early eighties somewhere in south america ...remember?)
4. of course john is being missed... but who are we to disagree with his decision 2 leave it to be in 1992... Respect John
this doesn't mean Brian and Roger can't play the game... for which I'm eternally greatful...
5. It is a fact, when you go 2 see the show expecting a clone of Freddie you will always be cheated... I didn't... it was a great show with a great musicians, a good performance of ALL singers and yes I felt the presence of Mr Mercury in almost every song, you know ' shivers in my spine'....
It's sad some so called fans are more conservative about it than our (new) pope about religion but it's their problem...

Hey, we discussed this millions of times, long ago.
Simple: no-one thinks it IS Queen. It simply is not. As you say.
But it is a GREAT band in it's own right and most of us prefer this above Brian and Roger sitting at home doing nothing. A great band, with an awesome singer and our favourite drummer and guitarist. Hey they even play Queen songs! What more do we want?!
As Freddie would say: If you don;t want to hear it, fucking stay home! ;-)

.....that´s the same i think.....Paul can´t replace Freddie, everybody knows that, but after seeing them in Frankfurt, i love them touring again.....seeing the old guys live is so fantastic..

You still don't get it do you Libor it's Brian May/Roger Taylor and Paul Rogers Tour 2005 not Queen. I see Rogers is still doin his best to ruin classic Queen tracks and forgetting the words. But you of course think he's God and a decent replacement for Freddie whilst critics/media and a lot of fans think the tour isn't very good. I haven't read one review raving about any of the shows. Please let me now if there is one.
I think you don't get it BPP. So - here it's straight from me: I don't have any problem with Paul Rodgers on microphone with Queen. And do you know why? Because I'm glad I can see live music again. And, thanks to the fact I was in Prague, I can say it from my own experience. When I'd been on Yes or Rush or Deep Purple (etc. etc.) I'd enjoyed it too and Freddie hadn't been there either. So why shouldn't I enjoy Queen with PR?
