As all of us Queen fans are concern, Queen to us is the greatest band ever. But f course we know that In reality The Beatles are the greatest band in history. So my question is, not taking Queen as our favorite band in the world but approaching it in a serious form, is Queen the second greatest band of all time?

I know everyone says that about their favorite band but even the most ignorant people know whena band is a goodone that can actually hold that title, and I know Queen can hold that title like better than any other band.

Queen is a GREAT BAND and you know the beatles haven't only beat queen is always number 10 and that is bull and we know that and they know that
queen and the beatles should really share that title
of number 1 and the crap about metallica and led zepplin being better than queen just look at the charts look at the charts and tell who is Number 1 not rolling stones, not floyd, not billy joel, not micheal jackson
QUEEN just learn to ignore those top 10 lists it is all bullshit and magazine editor's favorites

Dude, I hear what youre saying and I understand. Im not bashing Queen or anything liek that> Queen is my favorite band and always will be. And I definetly know what youre talking about when it comes to Top something lists. Especially here in the US, Queen are almost never in any Top somthing List, and if they are they are always all the way at the bottom like in the 20s, 30s, or 40s. i agree with you. So I dont know why you think that i think The Beatles are better than Queen, cause Im certain The Beatles know, well Paul and Ringo, that Queen are better than the Beatles, its just that Paul will never admit it since he's a stuck up billionare.

i think the list is almost correct. because there are only brit-artist, i would replace oasis, jam, clash and madness with u2, guns n' roses, the eagles and metallica. that's it...

When I just consider the huge variety of songs by Queen (from 'The Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, to 'Innuendo'), I wonder how anyone can say that Queen isn't the world's greatest band. I now own all the queen albums (yippee!), and I always find different things to listen to. The Beatles are just not the same thing, for me. Neither is anything else, come to think of it. Queen are at the very top.

Well, you have to consider the time they were around. When The Beatles started off they were a sensation, something completely new and that makes them the greatest band of all times because no other band had such an impact on the people as The Beatles.
I love them. But their music is very simple regarding all the bands that followed.
To me, Queen were the greatest band of all times but in general I think they had their big time a little bit too late to be in the top 5 of greatest bands.

The Beatles were the FIRST band to write and perform their own songs. Yes, their early albums were crap compared to singles and wasn't until Rubber Soul(the UK edition) that the first truly great Beatles album was unleashed. Every album after that kicked ass, especially Sgt Pepper(my favorite Beatles album ever) and Abbey Road(second favorite).

I think The Beatles or Led Zeppelin will always be considered the top band of all time, and as much as I love Queen, I don't think they'd be called the second greatest band of all time. They've never really been given the respect they deserve or the credit for how influential they actually are, and a lot of the time, they're written off as being too camp or too pop or something like that. To me, they're definitely up there with The Beatles, but I'm not sure if everyone else will ever agree.
