Well said BBB. Flashman obviously doesn't realise just how `big' Paul Rodgers is in the world of rock music.

Don't want this to sound like an anti-Freddie diatribe, heaven forbid, but Rodgers is widely recognised as the owner of one of the finest voices in this particular genre.

No, he doesn't even come close to the late and great FM as a showman but as a vocalist he is at least as good.

And `Alright Now' is one of only a handful of rock songs which can lay claim to be as recognisable, famous and influential as B Rhapsody.

Wishing Well isn't quite in that category but it remains one of the best rock songs of the past 40 years and from what I heard, it was as well received as any Queen song at the concert.

Remember this is not meant to be an anti-Queen rant, more a pro Paul Rodgers reply to Flashman, who can't get his head around the fact that Brian and Roger didn't want a Freddie clone (if such a person exists) to sing. Instead they went for one of their own all-time favourite frontmen.

Indeed, in the past both Brian and Roger have cited Free as one of the bands that influenced the early sounds of Queen.

If they'd read some of the rubbish spouted by Flashman, I suspect they'd have written something very similar to this.

Gad, I said he was alright, for Flashy's sake.

I just preferred the bits when he wasn't there.
FLASHMAN STRIKES AGAIN! Paul Rodgers is not the best thing since fried Fred.

Tried to record the whole show, but only on a shitty mp3 player, the bass was too much for it most of the time when the band were playing! this is the peter Kay bit its quite clear - if anyone's interested. I played around with the file to clear it up a bit, had a bit of sucess. (I left under pressure on as well, it really isnt very good, but someone might want it!)

hopefully someone will have recorded sucessfully and will share!

Under Pressure was performed. The gig was brilliant. Word is even the band were stunned. more later. Am awestruck by last night's performance. How could Birmingham possible top this? I'll see tomorrow night. Crowne Plaza NEC bar? Look for Fenderek and me. At least one Queen shirt will be present I'm sure. Join us!

Were some of you people posting here actually there?

1. The crowd went wild at "AKOM" and people got out of their seats and danced!

2. Beautiful Day remix was played AFTER the stage lights came on at the END....

Yes, BD remix was played whilst all the fans were leaving the venue.
