At least all Queen fans know the songs, but this doesn't mean that they would have been better

Didn't Gary already ruin Van Halen? I shudder to think that Gary could have dragged down Queen. Wasn't Blobby, 5ive and Britney bad enough?

Gary didn´t ruin Van Halen. He´s a great singer and has done a great job in Van Halen! Listen to "From affar" from Van Halen 3 and you´ll know what i mean.

Take care

Hey speak for yourself. I'm a diva! Just kidding Sergey. Actually Gary Cherone super sucks and I am not even a fan of VH but he still sucked with them. Roth & Hagar are the only singers who could make that band legit.

If Queen God Forbid had ever considered Cherone....nope only in an anti matter universe like on that show "Lost In Space", where everything is dark and evil and majorly SCREWED up...

What the F??

Give me Paul Rodgers anyday of Gary Cherone...

When Cherone is on stage, he acts so gay that Freddie and Liberace would look at each other and say "What a fag." :)

Cherone can suck a big fat dick.

He's a nobody now...What in the hell has he done lately? Apart from appear on the Vh1 reunions show looking desperate to reform Extreme(who were a flash in the pan).

I don't get what people see in this guy. In a world of rock n roll giants, Cherone is a flea jumping around aimlessly.

And this whole missed words thing is so stupid because only one guy messed up the words at Sheffield(The one that's gonna be released for the world to see)
That guy? Roger Taylor, who messed up the words
to TATDOOL.

Paul Rodgers has alot more back catalog of songs in his head too he has to remember, and keep straight.

Paul has fronted 3 world reknown bands...Bad Company, Free, The Firm...

Plus his own material...

Now he has to learn Freddie's part on some select songs.

Meanwhile, Cherone has "Hole Hearted", "More than words"....and the VERY mild hit with Van Halen "Without You", which peaked at #43 on the US charts.

Paul Rodgers is a superstar with hits from everything he has done since the late 60s....Gary was okay for a brief period in the 90s....Freddie looked up to Paul.....Freddie didn't even know Gary....Paul, Brian, and Roger are the same generation of rockers....Paul is fantastic....Gary is good.......but if you want to do shows that are BIG: Everyone knows Paul; hardly anyone knows Gary anymore....they'll go to see Paul interpret the songs....but I doubt too many would be interested in Gary.....I like Gary but he doesn't stack up as a legend himself

Gary was suited to Extreme (shame they couldn't follow up on Pornograffitti and III Sides. They had a lot of talent. Haven't heard any of Nuno's solo/new band stuff or VH with Gary, but I liked Extreme - listening to them right now actually!!!).

Anyway, Gary was good with Extreme, and Extreme did brilliantly at the tribute, but they did it in their own style, and I don't think he'd fit in with Bri and Roger's style.

Same goes for Robbie Williams and George Michael.

B&R can adapt to work with PR, but I don't think it would've worked with these others who have been mentioned.

I think Paul Rodgers has a better voice than Chris Thompson.
Keep Good Company

and I think they should have gone with Krzysztof krawczyk. I'm sure you don't know the guy but he's good (actually... not really, just wanted to com up with something taht sounds weird...).
They went with Paul Rodgers. They could have gone with Ian Gillan or Robert Plant but they didn't. Gary Charone would have been better? Chris Thompson? Jamiroquai? Gareth Gates? Liam Gallagher? How many more names are we gonna come up with...? Should we do a contest...? We had so many threads like that already...

What are you on about? Paul hasnt forgot the words since 46664. And even if he has missed a few words, remember they arent his songs.
