I don't know if this is true or not. My brother actually told me, after hearing it, on a New York radio station(Q104.3). He said, he heard that the planned US tour would be scrapped and they are planning a one and done show somewhere in New York. I'm sure they would play The Garden if they decide to do it. I'm just wondering if anybody else had heard anything on this?
I
have not heard that

as Brian mentioned earlier about 90% sure

why does everyone mention madison over and over???

just curious

no new music
even when paul tours here he doesnt go there
no tour in america in oh i dont know how long (actually i do )
LA could barely get 350 people to watch them play

what makes anyone think they can fill it??

(this coming from someone of course who wants to see it happen)
i got a way with the boys on my block.. :-)

I've heard the same as you Eagle...I mean there's an audio clip of him actually stating this Monday on his website

I just read that Q+PR is playing the Aruba Music Festival in October. WWW.Aruba.com

Aruba...that might be fun!!!! Well at least that is some confirmation that they will be in the Western Atlantic in the fall.

Called number-left message.

I would guess that they'll play a couple of one offs to test the waters over here. Maybe big markets like LA & NY. . . If that pans out, I would imagine something early next year - basically after Stones, U2, Springsteen, etc., wrap. That many big tours clogging the circuit out here and competition gets fierce.

Just a thought. . .

Mr. May has addressed this very subject on his website.

"We are still looking at options for the next leg of our tour (after the Summer outdoor gigs). We have offers from the USA, Japan, Australia, and South America ... it is just a question of how much we take on, and .... in what order. UNOFFICIALLY I can tell you we are veering towards doing a quick slam around the world first, and then coming back to do the BIG stuff in the USA later."

I'd say the likelihood of a US tour just went from 90% to about 40%. The longer its put off, the more likely something will come up later to prevent it from happening at all. I guess I'll start looking into travel arrangements to Aruba.

This, perhaps, is the price we pay for not buying enough copies of "I Want to Break Free" in 1984.

Let the "I told you so" gloating begin. I've earned it.
Blow it out your ass.

I disagree. I think if anything this message implies a desire to stretch the Q+PR experiment out. This confirms a US tour in my mind. They wouldn't do one off shows in all parts of the world and bypass the states. I'm willing to bet money on that.

Listen to the wind being taken from my sails....

They have to come, we've been waiting the longest...damn it.
I
sucaine they dont have to do anything!!!!!!!! elvis never came to uk lol.......

yeah I agree with Ray that the longer it goes without coming here...the less likely it is that they'll find a way over here...perhaps they start getting sick and/or tired of it, health or personal problems, conflicts etc.....I think they will still do at least one or two shows/appearances here no matter what....still hoping for a full tour though....and if it is promoted properly they could fill Madison Square Garden or the ACC Centre in Toronto.....let's hope they do it......noticing Aruba flights are kind of pricey....hope this tour stays successful wherever it goes....and yes worldwide is cool
