I won't be caught flat-footed as I've seen two of the concerts...just hoping they get here if possible. Not willing to shell out and go to Aruba as tickets seem to be premiumly priced...
In light of what the flight and lodging will cost me, the ticket price was the least of my concerns.

I have -in the past- been very optimistic about QPR coming to the US this fall. Brian's latest post concerns me--- I agree the longer they stay away as Ray and others have pointed out-- the less likely a US tour seems to be. Health, family and other issues could get in the way, etc.
I guess we can thank- Bruce, U2, Stones, Paul MCCartney- who are all touring in the fall in the US. Are promoters willing to fork out for an "unknown" like QPR??? The offers from the other countries are probably more appealing and it's been a LONG time since Queen have been to these countries as well
I just want an annoucement of the rest of tour soon-- wherever it may be- I need to plan out my remaining 2005 holiday time--If they are not coming to the US then I can unlock my days for other commitments.
If they are thinking NOV/Dec...I also need to know ASAP-Thanksgiving,year-end and Christmas time will be booked by others soon.. C'mom Brian< Paul, Roger, Jim Beach...throw us bone!!

That was my point...the flight and lodging costs..not the Queen tickets...in any case, I hope you have a blast! I have no doubt you will though!

Just to put a fine point on this, take a look at Brian's most recent post and you'll get a fine illustration of how quickly this whole Queen + Paul Rodgers tour could derail.
"And now, nearly two weeks after the tour [26 May], I still can hardly move my left hand fingers when I wake up in the morning. So I'm getting advice and doing tests ...and ... well, I hope for the best. Opinion seems to be that I basically strained the tendons and accumulated some damage. Assuming it is nothing more sinister, I seem to have something called Tenosynovitis.
I'll keep you posted. I contemplated cancelling my participation at the Norway 46664 gig in Tromso, to let the hands recover, safeguarding our summer gigs, but I've been advised it may be OK if I am careful, so, as of now, I'm going to chance it."
Hence my desire to get while the getting's good.

Yes, you're right Ray. I find it a bit strange however that a mere two days earlier he's still talking about touring other parts of the world while he knows he has this hand "problem." Can't quite figure that one out...

Well, call me negative but I have a feeling that this might be the end of the tour, sure they will do what shows they already have scheduled... but I doubt they are going to do a US tour... I mean look at it.. they are thinking of doing the REST of the world first.. and THEN doing the USA... sounds to me like we are the last resort.. and to think... the US used to be their best gigs, they did more shows in the US than they did anywhere else... I guess they just outgrew the US fans.
I wish Brian a speedy and full recovery, having hand problems myself I know just what a PAIN they can be.

We are still looking at options for the next leg of our tour (after the Summer outdoor gigs). We have offers from the USA, Japan, Australia, and South America ... it is just a question of how much we take on, and .... in what order.
AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering that they haven't toured North America in 23 years, I don't think they're looking at the world as "just America". Australia hasn't had them for a long time either, but you've had them more recently than we have.

I think that they're looking at the winter months to tour the US(maybe a new year's gig) because they can corner the market so to speak.
They just can't compete with the Stones,U2,and Sir Paul in the fall.
