Yep. Both had 4 members.
Both British.
Both had all 4 members persue solo projects at one time or another.
Both bands had music that evolved into many music styles...The Beatles started out more pop..then got more experimental, world music...psychedlia, harder rock. Queen started out more experimental with music hall/camp/metal/gospel/harder rock...then tried disco, then more pop.

I assume he means that the pictures of the Beatles on Let It Be are exactly the same position of Queen on Hot Space.

I see very little relevancy with Queen/Beatles.

Need Your Loving Tonight is the closest I can see.

jazz feels distinctly "rubber soul"
listen to the white album and hear bits of ANATO

The similarities bewteen the two are just so UNCANNY and SPOOKY....i'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it !

to my ears they aren't very similar to jazz really

Octopus never was #1 (at least in UK and the States). It happens with some popular songs: All The Young Dudes, Dust In The Wind, Show Must Go On ... popular and all but never a #1

However, Ringo co-wrote with George a US #1 (Photograph) and had uncredited input in Paul's #1 hit Eleanor Rigby.

John Lennon alone composed more #1s than all the four Queennies together, and Paul wrote more than John.

Both bands used three lead singers (discounting Ringo for the sake of argument)

Queen II cover was a virtual copy of 'With The Beatles'

Both covered 'Slow Down' (well, OK, Brian did)

Roger covered 'Working Class Hero'

The Beatles last 'live' performance included 'God Save The Queen', played on a rooftop....

Since the Sour Milk Sea reference was already used, I'll have to stretch to find something else.
