Don't know about the ticket sales .... sorry BUT BPP, I have been a Queen fan since 1978 and, like you, I thought I could never see them with another singer (esp since Robbie Williams and George Michael were the ones that were quoted), however, this tour is not Queen. It is a chance to hear Brian's amazing guitar work at first hand without him having to carry all the vocals and hear Roger pounding the drums and them both obviously LOVING IT.

I think PR was a great choice and they do go back a long way (Expo 92). I also admire his bravery in doing it. They are not conning anybody. Only a total imbecile would expect to see FM or JD. In 1992, Brian said he couldn't think of Queen carrying on now "but in the future, who knows. We may do something."

I'm grateful for the chance to see them again, they were fantastic shows. If you choose not to see them, then you are missing out on some very special nights. That is your choice, but don't say people aren't "real Queen fans" because we're glad of the chance to see our heroes enjoying life, music and entertaining us.

Get a life.

You are right in what you said in your 1st paragraph it's not Queen.

So... Queen must then be Brian, Roger, Jamie, Danny and Spike? They are after all credited equally as "the band" in the tour programme. :/
E
oh Tero don’t get BPP start on Jamie, Danny and Spike

Queen are Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon
2005 Queen are Brian May, Roger Taylor
Paul Rogers well is Paul Rogers

Jamie, Danny and Spike are just the additional Musicians there need for a full on powerful live sound

Hey Brettles, it was a superb atmosphere. And I was in the worst place of everywhere. I can't believe it nobody stood up behind me so it took ages before I could actually stand. Everywhere around the stadium people stood. First concert I've been to, and morons like BPP who probably didn't even go to one slags it off as crap. I'll use the same tactics as him then, I don't even know him but I'll ASSUME he is shit basically. And I don't swear in forums like most other 16 year olds. In fact I'm 16, more literate and respectful than BPP, and also more mature than him, whilst in the meantime he is a ''true Queen fan'' for not respecting what half the band say, or the majority of other fans on a Queen fan site. What a geek. BPP, if you attempt a response make it literate, with minimal swearing, back up your points and don't try and claim any superiority over me because judging by your attitude, you are quite clearly on the same acceptance level as Paul Rodgers is in your book.
And yes sorry for straying off topic on the sales figures, but I did give a figure earlier :D

No No your wrong it isn't even Queen + Rodgers. It's Brian Roger and guest vocalist. It was Freddie's Queen even though the others had their input. It makes me fuckin laugh people think they are seeing Queen when infact they are going to see Brian/Roger and a guest vocalist.

So you're saying that Queen would be where they are now (as regards album sales, popularity etc) without Brian May's unique guitar style/sound, or more importantly the other three band members' songwriting talents??

You're so narrow-minded and set in your ways when it comes to the Queen/Freddie debate BPP - yes, Freddie was a big part of Queen, but he couldn't achieved what he did in Queen without any one of the other three band members.

As Brian May says often, Queen was something all four of the band members created; something which emerged through their personalities, musical styles and influences, etc. It was NOT simply Freddie who was Queen.

Make your fuckin mind up. First you say it's Queen + PR then it's Queen 2005. Just let it go don't get arsey with me just cuz you were not around to see the real Queen. This excuse for a together will not make up for that or even come close. God I wish I was around to see Led Zep, Beatles, Cream, The Who etc in their hayday but I wasn't and that's that. But I wouldn't go to any reunion concert of these bands just because I want to say I've seen Led Zep and I think that's your problem you have to accept you were not around to see the real Queen but beleive me this shambles does not even come close to what you would have experienced at a real Queen gig

Someone back me up here but was it one of the magic years videos?? where Freddie is getting interview and he was getting pissed off with the person interview him cos there kept referring to Freddie as the bandleader, something Freddie hated. Come on BPP if you are the Queen fan you say are you should know that.

No BPP use your pea sized brain what im getting at here is yes Queen with Freddie died in 1991 but in 2005 BM and RT along with PR come together to create the 2nd generation of Queen + Paul Rogers. Yes I will agree it not the really thing and I would give everything I own to see the real thing but I cant so I go and see the next best thing Queen + Paul Rogers

Yes I have Vol's 1,2,3

The Foundations = vol 1
Live Killers In The Making Vol 2
Crowned In Glory vol 3

I think you will find Freddie meant he was not the spokesperson for the band.

I suggest you watch the studio footage of "One Vision" where it clearly shows Freddie was the perfectionist and the one with the ideas. The other 3 did have their own ideas but alot of the time it was Freddie who tweaked them to make them better. Freddie was also the one who motivated the band in the early days saying they could make it big. Queen would have not made it big without Freddie and Brian and Roger know that. He took the band by the scruff of the neck in the early days telling them what they should wear on stage.

Feel free to test my Queen knowledge you will find it's as good as if not better than yours
