I think that the Lisbon concert is half selled. But promoters strarted to promote the concert this month, and only last week they started to put posters all over Lisbon. If you want my opinion, it will be a sell out if it is promoted the right way. I mean, they have a Portuguese television sponsoring the show and it´s on a saturday. I´m sure it will attract many tourists that usually come to Portugal this time of the year. It´s going to have a great atmosphere!!
If they confirm their link to Live 8, its going to have more publicity.
The reason for the tickets aren´t still sold out is because Lisbon is full of summer festivals this time of the year. So, the last week before the show is going to be crucial, and that will be the week of big promotions and eventually the concert will sell out in the last day.
Portugal is having financial problems, so people really have to buy things at the right time, because they can´t afford to buy everything at the same time.

success rock on QPR!
actually, has no one noticed that the forum BPP hangs out MOST in is this one? Yet he despises the tour? xD hahahah!! I think he actually supports the tour and goes to every gig but is ashamed to admit it!!
The last Queen tour I supported( and went to) was the magic Tour. That was the last time ever they toured. If you are thick and stupid enough (which you qualify quite easily) to pay £50 quid to go a see 2 members of a once great rock band thats up to you. However I have my memories of Queen that will never fade. Brian and Roger need to take note of what Pink Floyd are doing at Live 8. To get anyway near as good as you used to be requires all original members not 2 out of 4 with one dodgy singer sounding stupid trying to sing Queen songs
Yes Linda Of The Valley its strange he hangs around on this forums and this section of the fourm (cos he has no life apart from bugging us) and keep telling us we are not seeing Queen or Queen RIP 1991 etc etc. DURRRRR yes we know were not seeing Queen arse wip like Linda said we are seeing Queen + Paul Rogers
oh no BPP better not go to http://www.mercuryparadise.com as this site supports the QPR tour
A quote from the review on the Wembley gig
"They all just gave everything they could give. Spike - present as ever, Jamie - on fire,
Danny - stunning!, Brian - overloaded with high energy, Roger - beating the hell out of his drumkit
and Paul.... just phenomenal. This man has one of the best voices around"

BPP is a dumb-ass who doesn't consider anyone's point of view other that his own...
... he needs to get a grip of himself and re-consider what life is all about...
... going back to the point being discussed - BPP... you really DO need to experience Q+PR before making comment on them...
... so... please... make it your priority to at least watch some video footage, or a live recording of their amazing calibre... before making a presumption of them...
...thanks...

Usually I dont join in arguments here, but I started this thing, so...
I am amazed about the fact that Pink Floyd will perform at Live8 together in their... SECOND Line-up. BPP, this is far from being the original Line-Up, ask the millions of Floyd-Purists who think PF without Syd Barret is not PF ! And I am sure Queen would like to go on tour as the original band, it is just a bit difficult as John simply doesnt want to (and he has every right to think that way) and of course the marginal fact that FREDDIE IS DEAD FOR FUCKS SAKE !!!
I am a musician myself. I want to play. So do Bri an Rog. Why don't you let them just play their instruments ??? You can not tell a musician never to go on a stage again, because the lead singer of his band has died !?! They call it Queen. Why not ??? It's the best advertising for them. They don't need the money but they want to reach as many people as possible. And Paul Rodgers does not want to copy Freddie, the man is too proud on his own, he has a career and life of his own. I will see them at Cologne stadium. If he's good - fine, ROCK on. If he isn't - I will say so, but I will still have respect for those musicians wanting to play !!!

I'm continually amazed by the posts that say how people should accept the "New Queen" because Pink Floyd or AC/DC or Genesis or the Rolling Stones don't have their original line-up anymore...
It probably is hard to comprehend that there is a huge difference between all these groups and Queen... None of these other groups were together for the first twenty years of their career with the same line-up, and none of them sold a hundred million records during that time!
Forgive me for being a bit simplistic here, but to me Queen was special because it was the same guys from the beginning to the end, making great music...
Or at least that's what I thought until last year.
It was nice to see Brian+Roger+Paul in concert together performing the Queen songs, but at the same time it really hit me that it isn't that special band anymore. Now it's just an ordinary group.
People whp don't agree with the new tour or Queen and PR should grow up and and go and get a hobbie and stop posting in this Queen + PR forum, none of you obviously have any lives if you can come into this forum and post how you dislike a band reforming with a new singer.
Anyway.
Has anyone got an official number of tickets sold for the Queen @ Hyde Park show? Or is it all guesses?
