They surely must postpone it for a few weeks, I dont want to contemplate the whole UK leg being cancelled...
what are everyones thoughts, has anyone been in this situation before, what normally happens?
It will hopefully be postponed. I don't know though, I've never been in this situation before but according to queenonline.com they are in talks about what to do.

I have mixed feelings at the moment
I say it would be best if they re-scheduled the concert for a later date
More importantly how can ppl coming from different parts of the UK and in fact other areas of europe possibly get into London anyway

The organisers of this event will have no choice but to cancel this event. it wont even be up to them, the police will not let this go ahead. the tube and bus network will be colsed for some time, and the logistics of these terrible attacks will mean that this event wont even be considered to be going ahead.
the question is if the gig will be re scheduled or cancelled, though logically it must be cancelled as you cant just move a hyde park gig to when you want it - not a gig of this scale.
thoughts with the people affected.

if queen go ahead with the concert they could be playing to a half-full park. even if people can get to london there will be many who just wont go to the concert now.
i was thinking more about the fact that it could be dangerous to go ahead with it, though i seriously doubt that there will be any more bombs the very next day...but i think it will probably be cancelled anyway.
i hope its rescheduled for a different date

I've just rung Hyde Park's events management team. Apparently they are in discussions now and a decision will be made this afternoon and released on royalparks.gov.uk.
Personally, the concert is trivial in relation to today's horrific events. However, I think it should be cancelled / postponed. It would be disrespectful and irresponsible of the band to play tommorrow. London is already at full stretch, inflicting another 80,000 people on the city would be stupid and dangerous, assuming people could get into the city in any case.

UPDATE - decision to be made this afternoon and will be on Hyde parks website www.royalparks.gov.uk
Hope this helps and I hope they take the sensible decision to call it off as London is gridlocked at the moment and the emergency services will be at full stretch today

Not that in the scheme of things a concert even matters but I would be shocked if the concert went ahead. It should be rescheduled.

That's hypocrisy. Did situation and thousands of pp, dying in Sudan or Zimbabwe stopped anybody from enjoying themselves? A child dies every 3 seconds- doesn't stp us from enjoying ourselves, does it... Do we become 'empathetic' only when it ahppens next door? We just don't give a fuck when it happens somewhere else, but when it happens to US and HERE we suddenly RESPECT those who died and cawant to call everything off.
The gig will be postponed- I can't believe it will go through. But it shouldn't be due to respect to those who died in London, but simply because it's either too dangerous or impossible to get there... Respecting lives? i'm gonna respect them exactly as much as I respect those who are dying of hunger in Africa. Thoughts with them but my life carries on. If we can't (don't want to?) respect those dying in Sudan- why should we want everybody to respect those who died HERE?

The only reason I see for cancelling it is if it's a logistical nightmare now.
All this talk about worrying about the safety of fans is bollocks. Tomorrow would probably be the safest time to be in London.
Al Qaeda (or whoever) decided on today as the day of their coordinated attacks and would have much less chance of 'success' trying to coordinate another attack the next day, when security in the city is at its highest, and there are less civilians about due to the disorder caused the day before. There is no precedent of terrorist attacks on successive days.
And cancelling the gig as a mark of respect or compassion is also an empty and pointless gesture. As others say, that plays in to the hands of the terrorists. It is possible, and entirely OK and normal for you to be able to enjoy yourself in spite of recent tragic events. Just because you go to a rock concert the day after people are killed a terrorist attack does not mean that you have no compassion for those affected.
I'm with you there Starfleet. We should do everything we can to get to Hyde Park and stick two fingers up at the utter cowards who caused this atrocity.
I thought Starfleet said that we SHOULDN'T and that the gig should be CANCELLED...
I did !!!!!
Sorry I meant Fenderek. However I really can't see the gig going ahead now as logistically it would just be a nightmare and the security services and medical services will already be at full stretch. My thoughts are with all those suffering.
