WATC, thank you for reminding me of the exact words Brian exclaimed at that Wembley gig. I'm looking forward to actually seeing them at this concert -- it will be like a homecoming for me, too, since I grew up in New Jersey. I can't help thinking it's something cosmic. Spent my entire life running away from New Jersey, and now I go there to see Queen. (Like Pacino in Godfather III: "They keep dragging me back in!)

It was pure luck that I got Brian's words as I downloaded Under Pressure only from this gig and this is what Brian said before they played it!!

Enjoy the Meadowlands gig in New Jersey!!
We all of us deeply apologise for this god forsaken shit heap of a building...but we will make it rock. Brian May Wembley Pavilion 11.05.05.

Roger said something as well about the Wembley Pavillion. Like what the hell Ken Livingstone (sp), the mayor of London was thinking when he approved it or something. Also, since the venue was basically a huge tent, Roger, said, "I guess this another meaning for the word "camp"."

Funny.

I think there will be a lot of adult diapers involved. Perhaps we could set up a table selling Depends for all of us.

Yes! Sounds like a plan!

Nice setlist, Hankster. I'd just remove AKOM, and add either Stone Cold Crazy or White Man in there. Or both! I can't see why they wouldn't try those songs. They would better look over the early albums, because those were the most popular ones here... ANATO, ADATR, NOTW, and The Game.

ye .. I didn't like AKOM on THIS tour either (in '86 it was great, I think)
But it isn't very realistic to hope that they will remove that song from the US setlist. My real wishlist would be very different indeed ;)

ye .. they where kinda lazy at the european tour with changing the setlist .. this won't be any different at the rest of the world tour, I gues...
G
I'd love to see a couple changes, maybe an older song from when Queen was at their most popular here, but I'll take what I get! When I first got into the band a few years ago, I never thought I'd get to see them in any incarnation, and even when they started the tour, I always had a feeling they'd forget the US again, so it's amazing even if they do just stick to We Will Rock You and Radio Ga Ga!
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

those where together with TYMD, FBG, Bo.Rap., IWIA and Allright Now the highlights of the show imho. Especially Radio was awesome .. really! I always thought that the studio version was well.. not very special. The '86 version was pretty cool .. but after the last tour I really love that song! WWRY is ALWAYS cool (naah .. the Britney/Pink/Beyonce version sucks.. that's true ;) ) and it is one of those songs that has to be a part of EVERY Queen-show!

My big fear about the US dates is that they will back off on using Brian and Roger as lead vocals as much as they do. I hope they continue on singing as much(or better yet more) as they did in Europe.

Oh... And I will bet Now I'm Here makes it into the set list.

Maybe they could use more of those drum tapes, and ask Jamie to play all the guitar parts... That way Bri & Rog could sing all the songs! :P
