Even though some of us might not like the fact that Jim Hutton wrote a book about Freddie i personally like the book for it's honesty(IMO).
Mary goes on in her interview about how Freddie's staff felt like her family and how she felt all alone when they left but according to Hutton she was the one who gave them 3 months notice to get out of Garden Lodge.

Everyone has a side of a story.And even though Mary didn't write a book she still done plenty of Magizane and newspaper articles. We Know they all loved Freddie and maybe it didn't enter there heads to write a book/article on there time with him till some publisher contacted them.Fans will always want to read about there heros and i know there's greed involved aswell but what can you do you can either choose to read them or not.
P.S Barn/Teddybear what cover band is promoting?

I just finished the Book: "My Life with Freddie Mercury" From Jim Hutton, i enjoyed it but there where some details i didn't like, he could use some less details 'bout his sexlife with Freddie is awful to read..but there are also some funny facts in...so i enjoyed it most of the time...
Yeah, I agree with you. It was fun to read about the fact that he was scared of spiders (how sweet!) and that he acted like a mother towards his cats and all...
But yes, there was too much about their sex life! I would have appreciated it if he did not mention anything about that at all! Because first of all, Freddie would never have wanted that to come out. Second, it IS awful to read!

Well, I think that most of the things Freddie said to the press was a joke! Like what he said about wanting cats rather than children. He could not have children because he was gay!

...ONE interview, written slightly different and published separately for the 2 different publications, OK Magazine and The Daily Mail.
I would assume Mary felt confortable speaking to david since Freddie did so often, BUT...
...I am still surprised that Mary told so many intimate details about her life knowing Freddie..but at least she seemed to say only polite things that depict Freddie in a very favorable and regarded light.
I believe David interviewed Mary, in 2000 when Freddie's Box set was released, (timed intentionally I would think to both promote and capitalize on the FM Solo Collection Box Set)

Oh yes indeed - and also his book. Did you happen to see him on "Mornings with Kerry-Anne"? He did not mention the band much at all, but certainly did discuss his book. I have shared the file in the hub - you can see it there.
