but why is Earl's court not on the list of choices?
I wanted to vote for EARLS too, but noticed it was missing from the list - I love that gig.
Again, my apologies for not including Earls Court on the list.
I completely overlooked that somehow, as I was going through a list on a website of known filmed and broadcasted Queen concerts, and perhaps I either missed it there, or I just plain forgot about it.

Oh man, a silent audience would be heavenly! Hearing people scream is the reason I don't care for live music in general.
There are exceptions though.. I heard the de-audienced version of Elton's 1986 'Candle in the Wind' and it was very boring without the crowd. But that was special. :-P

I like crowd noise, as long as it doesn't kill the sound on the live recordings (I own an old LP called "The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl", and compared to Queen's LAWS, the audience is too loud and screechy for my liking. People familiar with the Beatles' live audiences back in the day will know what I'm talking about :P )
Anyways, I've sent an update for Jen to post on the news/updates section on Brian May's website.
Watch that space for details (not too important though, but thought I'd let you guys know)
Brian made more mistakes during the MK Bowl concert.
Brian didn't really make any nasty mistakes at MK. It certainly wasn't his best night of the tour, but in Houston 77, he made some pretty bad mistakes. Just check out that solo in Somebody To Love. But again, there are some great moments, like his solo spot after White Man. Very unique stuff there.

You're right,there was no concert on 10/04/79.But,the concert that was held on 13/04/79
at Budokan hall,Tokyo was filmed and broadcated on
TV.So,that must be it....

My view on a Houston DVD in the future :
I think Houston 1977 would be a great choice and it could be a commercial hit. It's reasonable that the ''Queen company'' wants to make a lot of money with this.
* People would buy this because of the numbers of hits they already had in 1977. Think of Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie Your Mother Down, Somebody to love, GOFLB WWRY, WATC--> enough for the non-fans to buy this.
* It shows Queen during one of their finest moments in the seventies.
* Very interesting setlist
* They sang pretty good (compared to Earls Court for example)
* The band was on fire. It's a very good performance.
* It has been filmed pretty good. I think it has been filmed with 4 or 5 camera's. I know that's a bit minimal, but the result is pretty good. Look at WWRY (fast) from GHI, MMB from Rare Live for example.
* On '' Magic Years'' they show a backstage part during the NOTW tour. They could put this as an extra on the dvd.
* There are some little mistakes in this concert (most of them are from Brian) but it isn't that much.
* They should not put Stone Cold Grazy on the dvd. It's really bad. The tempo constantly changes.

i voted for hammersmith 79
it is defo the best queen gig i have ever seen.
i didn't vote for the rainbow because it was released with box of tricks, albeit heavily edited. the set list is far better in 1979 in my opinion.
some of the versions at hammersmith were exceptional. e.g im in love with my car, save me death on two legs.

I betcha they release Hammy '79 cause they have kinda been releasing a concert from every tour in reverse order, Wembley 86, Live in Rio (If it counts), Milton Keynes 82, We Will Rock You '81...Hammersmith Odeon '79!

during the earls court freddie had mic problems...it's been already talked about,before MK was realesed.
btw,i voted rainbow'74,but i'd like also Hammersmith 1975,or Budapest 1986,Budapest was filmed in film,not tape like wembley or MK..i think it would be great seeing that film re-mastered...also brian sayd that maybe could be realesed just because of that...and so many extras to put in (the cutin's during the concert) and the one's left behind..
