Barry Durex could you please pass the linkk to the 1979 Paris on Yeeshkul? I can't find it. I'd like to take the opporunity to thank Pittrek: I've enjoyed a lot with your productions, especially Emperors of Japan and the Earls Court Dvd. It's an honour sir.
Sorry, when I reloaded the page to submit my previous comment the link showed up. Thanks Barry.
Oh it's Kurgan's version, yes, that one is nice, but the QTV logo version has better picture quality.

I have different opinion, but we all have our own one I guess.
The Paris '79 (QTV logo version) also has audio flutter / buzzing.
They all do.

The bootleg LP from an audience tape ultimately sounds better than any of the videos.

That said - the few clips from documentaries are salivating.

^ A slight misunderstanding, I was referring to the Paris 79 QTV logo version, which also has some audio flutter/buzz.
The version without the logo does not.

Yep. that's probably one of my many DVDs I've made over the years..
I used to take an SVHS recorder with me to convention, but once it moved from Prestatyn, they stopped showing the good stuff :(
Hello, again. So regarding your opinion Wizard, Pittrek and Barry which version would go? However I've been watching some sample and I think that the best option for a 1979 dvd for those of us who still got none would be Munich '79, do you agree? I hit the torrent for Munich but I got stuck right away.
Indeed - Munich 79 is one of the best Queen videos of all.

But it's just 6 songs.

I'd kill to see the rest of it.

^ Was it a TV film crew ( german ?) if so do we know for wich channel they were working....remember a request in their vaults/archieves costs me nothing but two minutes for an email.
Munich - Cocaine and low taxes ! You can add me on FB - Musicland Munich QZ - don`t miss the QZ !

Sir, do you think that Munich concert was filmed as full show?

Considering there's footage from the beginning, middle and end of the show, I'd be very surprised if it wasn't.

But whether it was filmed or survived the test of time are two different things..

It's from the show 'Music Box' of station 'Südfunk Stuttgart'. It features an interview conducted by Thomas Gottschalk, one of germanys most famous TV-Hosts. Bit of a surprise because he used to work for 'Bayerischer Rundfunk'.
But anyway, really great footage, even though the fact that you can see the stands behind the stage including a lit-up entrance kind of always bothered me.
Dunno if they filmed the whole show though, perhaps musicland_munich can find out more.
Guten Tag und Guten Abend !!! We had a great time in Cologne. Drinking beer in the sunshine beside the Mighty Rhein brought back many memories for me..... (Brian May, 2004)

All of the versions are great, but for different reasons :-)
