You know Erin, I think I could live with that. The Jesus-freaks in the CSA and the sensible people in the USA.

If you are thinking "Jesus-freaks" = Republicans, then your CSA plan wouldn't work.

A preacher who says Chavez has to be murdered gets a mild warning, and this kid gets the whole FBI over him?

Sounds like fascism to me!

There is a clear difference between a threat...and not a threat. Duh.

You're probably thinking that the FBI is some special, exclusive organization taking covert action within the ranks of the government. People tend to compare them with the CIA or the NSA.

That's not the case. It's simply the police on a national level. Think of your local cop squad. It's basically that, for the country. Even Americans don't get this. As for this case, it sounds like a perfectly plausible thing to be enforceable by the FBI.

They'll just scare the holy hell out of the kid and then let him go.

Thats what they did when the dumbass did it here.

How can you be sure? You can't. The United States did not take Al Quida's threats seriously and look what happened. You can't go around threatening people's lives, which is what happened here. I don't care if it is the President of the US or my next door neighbor. You can't threaten to end someone's life.

Maybe we're somehow talking about different quotes, but I don't remember Pat Robertson expressing his intent to kill someone. I mean, of all the dumbass things that degenerate has said, a threat wasn't one of them.
