Queen have turned into a joke!

A joke? I don't see anyone here laughing, Mike.

Personally, I was mad that they weren't doing enough P.R. for the tour. Now I am thrilled that they are preforming on the #1 show in the NATION. It doesn't matter if a few people on QZ don't like the show...it doesn't matter if EVERYBODY on QZ doesn't like the show, there are still millions of others that love it, and Brian and Roger are taking the opportunity to show that they are still the best.

I thought they would have been a much better choice for the Superbowl halftime show, but now with American Idol, just as good!

who are we to say that brian and roger aren't allowed to tour anymore, they're musicians and they want to enjoy it and want please their (real) fans, and although i think AI is the worst show ever, it doesn't turn queen into a joke

WRONG !!! How on earth can ANYONE turn the very best band that EVER existed and will exist into a joke? NOT even Brian May and Roger Taylor can do that, NOT even with the help of Paul Rodgers!
QUEEN will NEVER be, or become a joke...simply because that is impossible. Queen was and is the alltime nr 1 rockband on the planet....no...of the entire universe ! But i do agree, that certain people said certain things in the past, very shortly after Freddie left us, in the emotions that were very strong at that time, but then again, it was Freddies greatest fear, that he would be forgotten....and look what the 2 hardworking top musicians have achieved? A recordbreaking musical, drawing hundreds of thousands of people into the theatres to re-live, or get aquainted with Queen and their immense back-catalogue all over the world...and a very well selling tour...breaking records again, winning ALL the prizes that exist on earth...with an absolute Queen-worthy lighting-rig, and the very best combination of chemistry between all bandmembers for THEM, to take this challenge on the road to new succes....and while doing all this, making many new youngsters fans of the QUEEN music...and keeping Freddie alive in the hearts and minds of people who NEVER will get to see Freddie alive, but still love him and get to know and to love him, because of all the efforts of the 2 Queenies give them this chance....thanks to Mr.May and Mr. Taylor...i just love to see them at work again, and hear the red special screem through huge spaces filled with people... NO...i totally DISAGREE with the statement that this topic is all about. Once again: QUEEN WILL NEVER BE TURNED INTO A JOKE.....by no-one !!! AMEN !!!!!

I agree they should do something about the usage of the name.Its not really Queen.I know they are only using it because its a brand that everyone knows ,and it is smart marketing but the reality of it is half the band isn't there.

Queen Plus Paul Rodgers...it is what it is...People have got to stop comparing him to Freddie, he is who he is and does a pretty damn good job....I would have loved to see the band with Freddie but since they didn't tour in the states after 81, that wasnt going to happen. I will take what I can get, and what I got was the 4 most amazing rock concerts I have ever been to....Thanks to Paul Rodgers I got to see what I never thought that I would and it was wonderful. Queen is not a joke, they are one of the greatest rock bands to walk the face of the planet with or w/o Freddie....most of all the return of Queen has made a lot of people very happy and that is a great thing.

i'm queen fan from the seventies my mom don't tell me histories of Queen i live the great era, the 70's, 80's and 90's and then now by the circunstances it's another point to view. it's for the music i'ts FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why all this negative shit is posted about Queen on a Queen fan site, that kind of contradicts itself doesn't it?

Well I can attest that Queen is not a joke. I attended their show here in San Jose, California on Wednesday, 04/05/06 and I was amazed how well it sounded. While it is true that Paul Rodgers is not Freddie Mercury, he never attempts to be and Freddie was treated with the utmost respect. It was nice to see Brian and Roger singing lead on some songs and Brians guitar sounds a great as ever. It has been 24 years since Queen has been to the United States and boy was I ready to see them, even it was without Freddie, who never can be replicated. The show rocked and I hope their future is a bright one.
