But I'm willing to give someone a chance, there's just been a lot of "digging up" around here lately.
Plus, you saw when the last post was made 4½ months ago, so I just wasn't sure.
Treasure Moment IS looking for a new "Guitar Man", so I was jumping to conclusions.
But back to your discussion: I didn't really like the fact that Jim Hutton wrote such a detailed book. Some of that stuff should have not been disclosed in any form, that's all. And then you see that he may have a personal vendetta because he wasn't properly "compensated". Plus, did we really need to delve into his personal life so much? What is the fascination? Do people think they're going to discover the secret of Freddie's success or something?

Well, it just seemed to me that he needed to put his feelings into words and I thank him for sharing it. I'm not an idiot and don't realise it's just his version.

It was more of a book about Jim than Freddie and how his life changed and that was what interested me. How a normal everyday person can be a kind of Cinderella. I don't think he gave away too many personal details and when he wrote about Freddie dying it seemed as if he needed to write it down as it was a big moment in his life. Then he had to read about all kinds of untrue things in the press about Freddie. He's ill himself, so maybe he thought he should do it before he goes.

I really don't care what anyone's opinion is or what topic they discuss but I do dislike blatant errors being put forward as facts. Also in response to an earlier post - it is not a rigid 10 years from HIV infection to full blown AIDS, it can vary - even to a period as short as 2 weeks depending on the body's natural immune defences and, let's face it, luck, chance and a myriad of factors.
So basically do a little bit of research before spewing a load of crap about AIDS. It goes so much beyond Freddie and Jim Hutton.
