How have they sold out? All the Red Hot Chili Peppers elements are still there... spicy lyrics, and a funky sound mixed with alternative rock. That's the Chili Peppers we all love.
Regardless of this non-sense allegations of "selling-out" people like Red Hot Chili Peppers far a lot more than Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, and all that other crap you listen to.[/QUOTE]
i agree..you can almost guarantee that Casper will say somehting controversial....on any given topic....in some ways it's a bit pretentious...like only Dylan and Springsteen and bands like that have any genuine credibility...and the chilis were ok till "normal" "un-casper-like" people started listening to them...then they became a "sell-out"
sorry casper, but your theory is wrong this time...a band that has as many problems as them and still remains true to it's soul has not sold out...if anything this album has more funkier stuff on it than ever....and may take a while to grow on me properly...but i love the chilis and what they stand for....good honest, listenable rock n roll....about as far away from Bob Dylan as you can get - to be precise - another reason to love em!!!
the other thing i notice about Casper lately (no offence Mr Mulders) - but you tend to lob in live grenades and then walk away...you don't ever deal with the balst from your own shrapnel do you?
oh..and Snow (hey ho) - just fantastic...a slowed-down Zephyr Song...oozes catchiness

It's just easier that way. Make a claim, insult a little, then go away and not deal with the consequences when proved wrong.
I want the proof that Lou Reed sells more than RHCP. Bob Dylan, sure, but Lou Reed?
According to the RIAA, Bob Dylan has sold twice as many records as RHCP, but then he's also been around twice as long and sold tons in the 1960s and 1970s. Lou Reed (or the Velvet Underground) is no where on their list of top selling artists.

Also, here's a list of top-selling UK albums from 2001-2004. While RHCP are on the list a few different times, neither Bob or Lou are.

So, Caspar, do you actually have any sources or proof of your claims, or are you just blowing smoke (pun intended) once again?

Also who is Caspar to tell us that RHCP are sell-outs, and Bob Dylan is not a sell-out when Dylan himself appeared on a Victoria's Secret commercial.

I still like Jupiter better
Jupiter is definitely better than Mars... at least in my opinion.
Jupiter has more of the trademark funk sound of RHCP, while Mars seems rather mellow but still very good.
