I agree! I love Action and Staying Power. How can anyone not like those songs? They're so damn catchy, I have to get up and dance every time. :D

Hey I had trouble finding Hot Space down here too!(It was the last cd I needed to complete the Queen discography). Try Dejavu Discs, got it their for a great price($9.99). Best of luck!

Dude! I go there ALL THE TIME!! Its great!! I got Made In Heaven, A Kind Of Magic, The Miracle, Jazz, and just today I reserved Sheer Heart Attack and Innuendo, i should have them withen the week :P Never payed more than $11 for a CD there, its FUCKING GREAT!

Just listened to Hot Space again, and I deffinitly can see how people didnt like it. But I love it.
The first two Queen albums I ever owned (apart from GH1) were ADATR and Hot Space. That's how I discovered Queen, an incredibly versatile band. We had, on one side, one of the most complex and layered album in Queen's catalog, and on the other, a funky little album with some catchy tunes. I also noticed a song with a Japanese chorus on one hand and one with a Spanish chorus on the other. I just loved the band from that moment on.
I remember listening to Put out the fire, Under Pressure and Dancer one moment and then Teo Toriatte, Good old fashioned lover bow and Drowse the next. Right now, I actually enjoy more listening to Hot Space than ADATR, mainly because I listen to music in my car most of the time and Hot Space is a great album to drive, hehe :).
I actually like Hot Space more than I like Jazz. I've always thought Jazz lacked something, it was like a grayish album for me. i didn't say I WAS a hard rock fan...none of the queen albums i mentioned are HARD ROCK...deep purple, motorhead, sabbath...they are hard rock
and for those who say people didn't like this album because "it was different" - rubbish...it ain't about difference...NOTW was a big departure from previous albums, the game was a massive departure from all before it...and had much catchier "dance" tunes on it than HS...HS in my opinion is rubbish...i am as entitled to my opinion as you are yours....
what i don't get is the amount of sychophants who think queen were infallable...which (again) is bollox....they produced enough average or below tracks to be notcieable...shame is that too many of em (imo) appeared on HS.....other shame is thaa there are some round here who would say 35mins of freddie farting in a jar would be make a great record....
the difference is that i feel that as a queen fan for 32 years i feel i have grown up with them, went to gigs, and learned to appreciate the difference between when they strike gold and when they disappear off up their own arseholes....for me, HS was definitely an "arsehole moment" - as was AKOM...objectivity is the key... not just saying "everything they do is fantastic"...also there are hundreds of great bands out there to listen to...buy some other gorups cds...and find you what others did at the same time....get a real feel for the time...and realise just how much HS didn't fit (imo)
there's a feeling round here that "any queen" is great...because there will be no new releases...i don't subscribe to this....Being there at the time i think i got a feel of what queen were about (and that's not being patronizing) that's about understanding what feel of the times they got into with "their sound". each successive album was blending into a period in time - HS didn't...it was a mish-mash with no real feel or structure to it....
Bri and Rog have both said in interviews that they didn't like it...and freddie "apologised" for it at MK82....so 3/4 of the band accept they misjudged things a little...that's endorsement enough...i remember hearing one interview and thinking "bloody hell, they actually feel the same way as i do...about their own record"
