I'm not into personal slagging off of anyone, including GB, but it makes me chuckle that GB complains of people not taking Queen research seriously, yet several times in the past I have asked serious questions via the Q&A on Queenonline.com (such as certain dates of concerts etc..) and they haven't been replied to, yet he chose to answer inane questions such as 'who was the lady who sings on Barcelona' etc...etc..., seemingly just so that he can give a smartarsed reply.
I'm sure that the bickering will die down, and sincerely hope that Greg will find some of the info he needs from the serious info sources of the site (I do hope that everything is accurate before the CD set comes out, unlike his 'definitive' live book with incorrect set lists etc..)

No, I don't think repsectful replies can be given because the original plea was utterly ridiculous. It sums up all that is bad about Queen Productions and Queen online. It's a sorry state of affairs when an archivist for a band has to ask fans for help like that. Queen were a great band who deserve a lot better than this.

So here is is...finally doing what he thinks the fans would like and what happens? He gets shot down like a passenger pigeon.
Now i will admit that when he first came on here, he gave a lot of people the impression of being a bit heavy-handed and "above us" all. Naturally this turned a lot of people off and enraged others to no end. Well, keep in mind that sometimes a persons' tone or sense of humour has a hard time coming across in simple text posted on a message forum.
Now i'm not trying to stand up for Greg, just trying to let folks see a alternative view to this situation.
He's just a chap trying to do the job QP pays him to do, which is to compile, organize, and record on paper what exsists in the mountain of Queen related recordings that are collecting dust in many places. It's a huge task....very boring and tedious at times...and not glamourous all the time i'm sure. He does'nt have any secret "edge" over anyone else, and he does'nt have magical powers to conjur up dream releases many fans would wet their pants over. He's just a ordinary chap like us who works on what he is asked to do from QP and then works on his own side projects ( publications of many sorts).
It's too bad this apparent conflict between the fan communtiy and Greg has resulted in what we have been seeing on here for the past few days. Instead of contructive chat all that is happeneing is a bloody Soap Opera and loads disgruntled insults. Enough already.....
Well, carry on. I just hope this all ends on a positive note for everyone, Greg included.
