It almost appears that TRS was bullied into deleting the link, but no explanation is available. It would have been nice if the thread could have remained unedited so that perhaps some explanation for the deleted link would be available.[/QUOTE]

I reposted my original message and I don't see any "bullying" here only because I dare to have an opinion. You are really overdramatising the situation. People have different views and for me there is a huge difference between this video of a baby and the Montserrat Caballe tape - which is of interest for Queen fans and collectors. I also think that the previously posted snippets of the IGSM outtakes are of interest for fans and collectors, I just would prefer if Stefan would not post these 20 sec bits. I think that is not sharing, it's bragging.
I do not want any google ads here.
therefore I posted a 1:54 min video (instead of the 10 or 16 seconds posted before)

Again, I am not offended as well as I don't want to offend other people. We all have an opinion :)

Stefan

"If you want your soul to find peace, go to Montreux." - Freddie Mercury
I have watched the first short video that was posted here, but I'm not watching the new 1:54 video. First of all, because I already know what an extraordinary, sweet and sensitive person Freddie Mercury was. And I do not need to see this video to prove it. Secondo, this video seems to me very intimate and familiar. I am quite sure that Freddie never wanted this video to become public. It is really a different context from the videos posted in the past.

And to me it seems really pathetic to use the same old "the high powers of QZ want to stop me" lines every time to try to appear to be right.
That time will come, one day you'll see that i'll be dead and you will laugh!
Personally, I think "Freddie's Loves" was more of an invasion into Freddie's privacy than this snippet of tenderness. His close friends and lovers told all about the most personal aspects of Freddie's life in that one.

It showed the part of Freddie's life that he worked very hard to keep private. Yet there it was, available for all of us to save to our hard drives. Do you think he wanted us to see him singing in a bubble bath? Or to hear details about his past lovers? Peter Freestone was part of that for heavens sake. As was Jim.

"His cock was huge," Peter said at one point.

"Yes, he was a good lover," Jim said with a snicker at another.

I don't recall any complaints about that. Yes, this is a private home video. But when you compare the two for privacy infringement, how can anyone justify blasting the sharing of this one over the other?
"The others don't like my interviews. And frankly, I don't care much for theirs." ~ Freddie Mercury
Thank you TRS, i personally enjoyed it, and if others dont, well, then they can NOT WATCH IT!

I dont think people watch it to have proven to them something about Freddie. they do it cause they loved him and seeing him and things does something special in their hearts. Its... enjoyment. thats sort of like saying, "I know that his voice is good, I don't need to listen to that song to prove it." Or, "I know I like that actor, i don't need to go see that movie." well.... ok. I just dont think thats one of the main reasons.
theGRAYSONATOR loves me.
I have to agree with YV on this one (although I seem to be in the minority).

The 'if you don't like it don't watch it' line is pointless - it is perfectly valid to have watched the video and to think that it should not have been made public.

I admit I watched the video out of curiosity - but I felt rather awkward doing so. Not because the video had anything obscene on it - nothing much really happened in the video - but I felt like I was invading someone's privacy by watching it.

Few people seem feel this way - and I can't say I'm surprised, knowing how obsessive alot of Queen fans seem to be regarding FM - most people seem to be of the opinion that they are entitled to watch this because they enjoyed Freddie's music.
Thanks Serry!
Excuse me but i didn't read it first!
