I´m really excited about September! It´s going to be a great month for releases. Freddie Mercury, Iron Maiden, etc. Lot´s of great music.
And, as Brian has stated, i think that people are ready to hear the Great solo music from Freddie, and i really believe that it´s going to chart everywhere.
Greg, let me just ask you a question or two about the solo stuff (if you can answer this, i really apreciate):
- The live Version of "Barcelona" on the upcoming DVD i supose it´s not the Ku Klub Ibiza´87 performance, am i right?
If that´s the case why do you think they don´t use this footage in any DVD release so far? Is it for copyright reasons? That´s a great footage, and in my opinion, not using it´s such a waste!
- After the Freddie Box, i read that they (Freddie staff) were planning to release the "making of" of his videos. Is this project in line, or definitely abondoned?
- Do you think that this type of book (audio download, written) could be released for Queen in the future?
Thanks in advance!
Take care

Greg, I had sent you an email back in July giving you some background on my book because you had started a thread about me and what I had been working on, and that I had wanted to ask you some questions. You initially responded, saying you'd get back to me ASAP but that you'd changed your email address, and I never heard from you again.
Greg,
I loved the 2000 FM box.
Quick question about the new release:
Mr. Bad Guy (Bad Circulation) -- this is another "take" of the song, yes? Re-built to be a complete song, kinda like one of the Freddie / Squier tracks off the box?
If that's the case, where did you find it? Was it one of the pieces that there just wasn't room for in the original box? Mis-sorted in the Queen reels? Found in a locked cupboard in a disused lavatory with a sign on the front that said "beware of the leopard?"
Does this raise your hope at all for further (if extremely rare) "finds"?

Nice to see you around again Greg.
I would like to point out, that I do share some frustrations of the other fans here waiting for an anthology of sorts to come around. But I have no reason to fight with anyone here over such things, so dont take offense to that, because...
At the same time i recognize you have alot of work ahead of you to do as well. So my patience will only have to endure for longer.
But good things come in due time as they so say.
But I'll save my pennies and get that Freddie box-set someday.
But I am looking forward to the things being released for his 60th Birthday.
Are they slated for a US release? Rumor has it they are not.
If not looks like I'll have to rely on good old amazon.com as always.
Cheers...

Oi, I do the Douglas Adams ripoffs on this site thank you.
And I think you'll find it was a filing cabinet.

Not only from the audio interviews we have (highlights of which appeared on the 73 minute CD on the Solo box), but from the 1985 Munich filmed interview too - which is greatly informative and candid.

Living on My Own (the Egg Remix) seems also be another take (maybe acappella ? ) begins with Freddie counting down 1,2,3,4 .

I'm going to assume, Greg, that you're never going to respond to my email?
TO PIERRE, WHO WROTE...
Mr. Bad Guy (Bad Circulation) -- this is another "take" of the song, yes?
NO. THIS WAS NOT COMPILED BY ANYONE FROM VARIOUS TAKES. THIS IS AN ACTUAL MIX (VERSION IS A BETTER DESCRIPTION, AS MIX IMPLIES WE MIXED IT) FROM THE 1985 ORIGINAL SESSIONS I FOUND ON A TAPE. IT IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE ONE WE PUT ON THE SOLO BOX. IT WASN'T WORTH PUTTING BOTH ON BECAUSE THEY ARE SO ALIKE - JUST LYRICAL DIFFERENCES MAINLY.
I CHRISTENED IT 'BAD CIRCULATION' MIX AT THE TIME, 1999, JUST TO WRITE THAT ON THE DAT TAPE TO REMIND ME YEARS LATER WHAT IT WAS. NO OTHER REASON. AND THAT TITLE STUCK.
IT'S NOT A NEW MIX. IT IS EXACTLY AS I FOUND IT.

IT WAS JUST ON ONE OF THE 'MADE IN HEAVEN' STEREO TAPES... PRIOR TO THE LP BEING CALLED MR BAD GUY.

NO. WE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS ON EVERY TAPE NOW, QUEEN, FREDDIE, ETC. THERE WILL BE NO SURPRISES FOR US. BUT FOR YOU......... ???????????............ OH YES. SOME MASSIVE SURPRISES FOR THE FUTURE. I CAN SAY NO MORE.
I DID A NICE LITTLE LYRIC COMPARISON THING BETWEEN THE VERSIONS OF THE MR BAD GUY TRACK, INCLUDING THIS NEW BAD CIRCULATION VERSION, WHICH I THINK YOU MIGHT FIND ON THE FM WEB SITE. QUITE INTERESTING TO VIEW ALL THE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES.

Lester,
If you want to send it again I will do my best to reply. There is a good reason I did not reply back then, which I won't go into here, but I might privately. Lets see how it goes. If you want to re-send, I will read it. OK?
