I still believe Dragon Attack was his first song about drug abuse. What else would "got a dragon on my back" mean?
I do feel sorry for Brian, especially since he ended up with Anita, who is no stranger to the needle either. That reduces his chances of ever kicking the habit to almost nothing.

Not quite right actually. The only needles that Anita used were as part of the Womens Institute Sewing Circle Partnership (WISP) of which she is Patron Saint. She often does new patterns for the group and often demonstrates how the patterns work.

OK, this has gone far enough. Sorry for those who wanted to continue the wind-up a bit longer, but I'm pretty sure all Brian ever had in terms of drugs was a chunk of spacecake, as can be read in "As it began".
The only confirmed drug user in Queen was Freddie, although reports concerning the amount he used vary widely.
