Due to the fact that Paul is touring for half the month, hopefully that should mean that Brian & Roger will be doing plenty of the vocals.
I'm a bit sceptical about this new venture. For a start, it will delay opening the vaults again and distract from Queen Production's real objective of releasing some Live DVDs from the 1970s.
Does this mean GVH3 is gonna get shelved again??? (unimpressed)
Just jokes. I am only interested in a new album from these guys if Brian and Roger do lots of the singing.
Consider this, Brian's not really done a full album in 8 years; it's a waste of material! Roger too, is still that amazing drummer, I can't wait to hear more from them.
I suggest you hoity-toity RIP 1991 folk pull your fingers out of your arses, and give the new album a blindfold test. If the music pleases you, then forget whatever name is on the label. It's pathetic behaviour.

Ah, I really hope they have another tour !!!!!!
A new album of any kind since 1998 by roger and brian feat.paul rodgers would be very welcomed in my opinion i knew it wouldn't be too long before something was developed.
I wonder who will play bass???? do you think they have considered asking john deacon to play bass or would they stick with danny miranda?.
I wouldn't mind who but it would be great to see john back with the boys and see his name on the album sleeve.
Imagine!!!!
Brian may vocals guitar keyboards
john deacon bass guitar
paul rodgers vocals piano
roger taylor percussion vocals
Would be great anyway i think there's still vocals in both brian and roger to have them sing tracks on the album, and would a tour evolve from this i would like to think so i think since touring and jamming in studios brian and roger have got the bug to be out there again as much as ever and that's only a good thing don't you think?.

This IS good nws, I just pray that they only take in two microphones with them so that Brian doesn;t get the chance to embarass himself again as he did on his solo projects and that *awful* vocal on NOBY.
Damnit
If they do intend to do a "full" album, it would be safe to say they will do about 11-14 songs. If that's the case, I'll venture Roger will sing two, Brian three and Paul the balance. I don't really care if it's called Queen or not-if it's good it will stand or fall on it's own merit. Those who are angry about Paul being involved, consider this; Brian, Roger (and John for that matter) and Paul all have proven themselves. Give it a chance and listen to the songs...don't let your aversion to the name they may use be an excuse to miss out on some (probable) great music.
Can anybody tell if I am wrong?...I mean..as far as I know the guys (Roger and Brian) are obligated to call themselves as Queen...As I know for a legal issue...the company...the owner of righst..etc said that after Freddie´s death, even if two (no matter who) of the guys are playing together, they need to use the name Queen..that means that if Roger and Jhon want to play together and make a nwe album they shoul be called Queen....I think probably this is not true, but if anybody can help about this please it will be very welcome!....Now About the probable new album with P. Rodgers...I just take it as a new band...whom musicians are gorgeous....
Thanks.
Thanks.
For the people who criticize my statement:
- I went to 2 Q+PR shows;
- I met Rog and Bri;
- I became a PR fan. I think his songs are amazing and he IS an amazing vocalist;
- I will buy the album;
Roger and Brian having a new album? GREAT!
My ONLY problem... is using the Queen name, that's all.
I hope the stomach punch suits you fine when you'll read:
Queen are:
Brian May and Roger Taylor.
It sells more if you use the name Queen...

That's a great point Bob. Brian, Roger and John have all proven themselves over 30+ years. The project SHOULD stand or fall on its own merit. Therefore, as multi-millionaires who are working for fun or love or whatever we'll call this, that's the reason that they should call the project anything that doesn't use the Queen name. It's 2 Queen members, a Free/Bad Company/Firm singer whose primarily influence/style is blues music, and probably session musicians. It'll probably be guitar driven blues based rock, might be a great album, but at the risk of being attacked, that's not Queen. What is the risk of them putting it out under another name? It's not like anyone in the Queen universe won't know about the project through either this site or QOL or Brian's site. For some, the Queen name is meaningless, and they don't care as long as they get new music or a tour from Brian and Roger, and I appreciate that. To me and others, the Queen name is meaningful, and while I won't force my beliefs on others, I'd like them to put the Queen name to rest for recording purposes, and I'd hope that others appreciate that too.

Obviously. Brian and Roger know full well that Queen is a more marketable name than either of their names. They are entiled to do as they wish.
Personally, I think they should do what the Foo Fighters did and create a new band name. Chris Squire, Alan White, and Jimmy Page didn't call it Yes + Page. They were gonna call it XYZ (as in, ex Yes and Zeppelin). Rage Against The Machine changed their singer, and now they're the very successful Audioslave. There must be a decent name that Bri/Rog/Paul can choose. As long as it's marketed properly, the endeavour could be a commercial success. Consider this:
Plenty of Queen/Brian/Roger/Paul fans will buy the album no matter what, and you won't alienate these fans no matter what name is on the cover. But the fact is, there is a fair percentage of Queen fans who will compare this to the old Queen, and no matter how good it is, they will say it's crap because Freddie's not there. But if Brian is true to his words, and they really do end up in that "new place", then they would probably gain the respect of people (and not just Queen fans) who open-mindedly listen to the new music of this new band consisting of three musicians from legendary bands, and admire the fact that they had the balls to go on with a new name.
If the critics slammed the old Queen, then just imagine what they'll say about this project if it's called Queen + Paul Rodgers. But this project has sooooo much potential. I really hope the boys don't do anything they'll regret.
