Actually I am quoting Roger regarding John, and as for Brian he was in therapy for an entirely different reason stemming from is personal life, it had nothing to do with Freddie's death.

I might get slated for this but i don't care the questions raised about john deacon are not only valid but worthy of a answer, having been part of a mega group and then slipping away and retiring i still think that it would have been common decency and respect if not to turn up and make an appearance then to send somesort of message that he's thinking about him and be involved in some way.

I am suprised and really appalled that there's no comment from him at all for once i would have to say John deacon you should be ashamed of yourself pah!!! call yourself a friend. tut tut.
Yes we'll keep on tryin we'll tread that fine line oh oh we'll keep on tryin till the end of time till the end of time.
There's always the possibility that he wasn't invited, or maybe there's some bad blood between Brian and Roger and John. Who knows - we can assume until we're blue in the face, but we'll never know the real story. Queen were never a band to air their dirty laundry in public, and I don't see any reason why they would start now.
I don't suppose he is losing any sleep over it, it's not like Freddie is alive to get upset when he didn't show up.

When he retired from the music business he meant it, he wants to sit back and not get involved from this point on, every time Queen do something people now say he has to come back and make an appearance, why? he has left the band, so he still gets paid, so will we all if we produce anything that still receives royalties when we retire, it doesn't mean we have to keep standing up and saying thank you.

He did go to the premier and has offered his support to the guys, I do see why he has to continuously show up after that, it was Fr eddies 60th Birthday so what, he's not here to enjoy it, and it was Brian and Roger that decided to do something to celebrate it, I don't think it's something so important that he is obligated to turn up, now if say Another one bites the dust wins a major Ivor Novello award, then yes I would say he should be there to receive it, but personally I don't think last night was out of order.

I am sure he celebrated in his own way ;-)

I'm surprised that there wasn't a separate "celebration" by Spike's All Stars like the one done for the 10 year anniversary. That would've been more to the liking of the majority of Queen fans[/QUOTE]

Speak for yourself.
People who said all those nasty things about John may go and kill themselves now. Because they just made an enemy for the life. And his name is Serry.
ah well, I knew it was a pity I couldn't go... now I know it for sure :(
but you don't give me comfort and a man's gotta get it somewhere -brian may i'll give you comfort brian XD

I've enjoyed the 2 such events I've attended. What is your problem with them? If they had done such a thing, I would have expected Brian and Roger to make an appearance like at the 10th anniversary

Just because we didn't hear it or see it in a public forum, it doesn't mean that he didn't send a message or tribute in his own style. You might want to consider giving Mr Deacon the benefit of the doubt on this one. He's more than earned it.

Not slating you :)
Ready Freddie?
That night was wicked when i was waiting to give my ticket to the usher person this door right next to me opened and Brian May was there RIGHT NEXT TO ME! I gasped really loudly lol and he kind of half-smiled at me then my cousin goes 'Alright Brian my son, how you doing?' I was still like frozen at this point lol and Brian went 'yeah' as he walked past. IT WAS FRIGGIN' THE BEST MOMENT EVER!
